I know... I was coming to write the same thing... lost half credibility in the first minute... Though, to be honest, there seems to be only one amplifier, so the one has the amp and the other is passive. I don't know if anyone can confirm this, but it looks that way from what I see.

But at that price it will be shit single amp per unit for each two speakers. In a decent studio monitor there will be bi-amps one for each speaker and a very tight crossover to ensure accuracy between speakers. You can't do that for less than £100 per speaker. These are combined amp and speakers and should be marketed as such. They are not flat response studio monitors as they are being advertised as. Luv and Peace,

@@ianedmonds9191 - interestingly(and i agree with you) I bought my JBL 305's for $100/each(almost contrary to your point....but black friday don't count, right?) and they have biamped speakers....separate for tweeter vs. woofer. I had totally forgot about that until i saw you make that point. So it can kinda/almost be done but hard to find. I have a pair of the Eris 3.5's and would not ever want to use them as 'studio' or 'reference' monitors. more like a glorified a/v or MM speaker. Not really worth gaming on either...not that i would. and they're certainly NOT flat response...very colored.

I love my Presonus 3.5s, I think it's a myth that their bass response is poor. To my ear they slightly enhance lower frequencies like especially drums and bass tones. Drums are the hardest part of music production so I love this character. You will hear superb drum rolls and the real sound of acoustic toms jumping out! A great choice for your general playback in smaller flats and apartment setups. Perhaps a bit of semipro mixing as well if you cross check them against Senheisser headphones.

Why people recommend this for music production while it doesn't cover the low end frequencies lol?

How you guys don't mention that e3.5 does not have a good low end? It's really bad for trap music, can someone prove i am wrong? Huh ofcourse not

These are not passive speakers at all. The amplifier is built in. These are ACTIVE speakers. You really fucked up in your description. Maybe you shouldn't review speakers anymore.

ive had them for about a year now and i love them. i think im gonna ad the 8 inch sub though they dont quite translate the bass the way youd like to get mixes to pop

Hey man, nice work as usual. I was looking at these as a pair of secondary reference monitors. Wanted to know would their be a big difference between these and the Donner Studio Monitors 3. Both have good reviews, but I think these have been out longer. Any advice would help. Thanks and keep up the good content!

If you search youTube for "Presonus 3.5 vs (the other speaker here)" you can hear A-B tests. Listen with good headphones and you know exactly what you're going to get.

"Passive"? These are active monitors with a POWER CORD for the INTERNAL AMPLIFIER. Misinformation.

I think I blew min I’m having a seriously bad time with them right now. Audio still runs but it has dropped in quality substantially. I don’t know what’s going on
