I have been using Eris 5s for a couple of months and they are pretty good in my bedroom set-up. However, the only criticism is the excessive background hiss which might get annoyed at times!

sounds like a thin blanket got removed from in front of the speakers when it switched to the studio 5. Basically: clearer, louder.

I'm hooking up with my friend downstairs because I want to buy pro 8 but I'm waiting for some reviews so as not to have to spend twice as much money because, for example, it turns out that pro 8 sounds the same as studio 8 and then it will be clear which monitors to change to :)

where is the difference between the new studio 5 and the legacy 5 xt? they have the same features and tweeter waveguide?

New gen is definitely better. But I'm still leaning towards the E5 BT version for the bluetooth and they have dropped in price. Seeing as how I have neither right now, either will be worlds better than what I have now.

I got 5" XT in 2019 . . . Now 2024 day OF 2024 Superbowl Chiefs Vs. SF Niners ! Gosh time fly's now they gone to even New Monitor line and XT form factor got rid of the XT Line to this newer Version Followup needed on What are they doing now Presonus is owned to Fender. Thanks !

Audio companies from the 80s have been making small speakers that make bass for a long time now. I wonder why these new "professional" brands like marshall an the rest have such problems. Hopefully with all that money they made the last few decades from increased prices to fund r/d they can find out how actual speaker companies did it

It's like Harley Davidson vs any modern sport bike; Japanese or Italian. You can get better performance per dollar with the sport bike, but at the end of the day, people will pick the inferior Harley for the looks or signature sound alone

​@@blacklikethesun Yeah, I specifically really want someone to compare the Eris Pro 6 to the Tannoy Gold 7 or 8. I'm between those two speakers right now. Based on the specs I would instantly get the Eris Pro 6 but I HATE the look lol. In comparison the Tannoy looks way better in a room and is way cheaper. But the Eris Pro is smaller and has RCA in and tunning also hmm... 🤔
