Kuala Lumpur eh? Ive been there, stayed in a brilliant hotel called 'The Majestik' looks a pricey these days if you're on a budget but it was one of my favourite hotels of all time. It has a British colonial theme to it. You can sit in the bar wearing a smoking gown and smoke cigars while a lovely Malaysian beauty keeps your whiskey topped up. Marvelous.

KL is actually my favourite foodie city Eddie. Malaysian food for me is the finest south eastern Asian cuisine, even trumping Thai foods! Get yourself down Jalan Alor (foodie street) in the evening. Get there around 19:00/20:00 when it really gets going. Sambal swordfish is an absolute must!! Beer is available, but it's hell expensive compared to Cambodia, Thailand etc!!!! Enjoy KL!

Thank you Eddie, interesting as always. It's not always easy to get out the camera and start filming in your relaxed style at every opportunity. Some locations can be quite difficult, but you did well. My only experience of Kuala Lumpur "KL" was as part of a little south-east Asia tour I did way back in 1995 when I remember the Petronas Towers were not yet completed. Construction started in 1993, it was structurally completed in 1996, but it was not fully opened until 1998 when the towers were designated as the tallest buildings in the world at that time. (Thanks Google!). It's strange, isn't it...when you look at the map, Malaysia appears to be located west of Cambodia and yet, as you rightly say, Malaysia is one hour ahead. Make the most of your trip Eddie, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. 😀
