My favorite safety razor right there (I like the Muhle R106 too). Mild and efficient when paired with a Feather blade; best shave around!

Thanks Patrick, this sits in my regular rotation. It’s just a perfectly balanced razor. Like you said, pair it with a feather or any 9/10 sharp blades and the result is just a perfect BBS

Why don't you use both sides of the razor?
@allydz4 ай бұрын
@ya00007 haha... yea I'm a disgrace in here, absolute shambles. I was relatively new to the DE game and only used to predominantly shave with carts. You won't see that happen in my recent DE reviews.

Then with a lot of practice and patience, it should work :) Go easy and with a lot of time at hand. I personally don’t have experience with shaving the scalp but I’ve seen a lot of people use DE razors.

Hey guys, my gf just bought me one of these for my birthday and I found the shave pretty sub par. Am I missing something? I usually use a 4/5 blade Gillette and I find that a lot quicker and more comfortable. Am I missing something here?
@allydz2 жыл бұрын
This is a mild razor, hence using an aggressive blade will definitely help. What blade are you using with it? Also gradually with more practice and repetition (as with everything), you will find that DE will definitely give you a close and clean shave. I hope this helps, I had the same experience when I started shaving with DE Razors. I always used to shave with only Cartridge as that's what I was comfortable with. In my experience it does take more time than multi blade Cartridge for sure, that's just normal. Your speed will increase gradually 😀👍

@@allydz I'm using the feather that came with it. Any tips to get a closer shave using the safety razor? Or how I can get similar results to using a cartridge?
@allydz2 жыл бұрын
@@conanckng Sure brother. I will try my best to help. Feather is one of the most aggressive blades. DE89 is a classic razor for DE beginners. Have a good shave routine; face wash/pre-shave, quality shaving soap/cream and shave. Use the 3 pass approach. With the grain, cross grain and against the grain if your skin can handle it. Take your time and take it easy, its all about technique and angle, Practice for a month and you might just use this more than Cartridge razors.

@@conanckng Also please watch my shave review in the Rockwell T2, the part where I'm shaving. It's all things I recommend you can see visually. Please let me know if it helps. All the best 👍 kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYq0aYOVa7Rohc0

Apurba, Thanks brother🙏. Yea I noticed that too, I did add some drops of water on the brush 👍🏼👍🏼

Since it's a double edge safety razor you can use both sides of the razor before rinsing it off otherwise you're just wasting water.
