Love my EJ DE89! I started with a cheap Van Derhagen butterfly type from Walmart. Didn't like it. Went with a vintage Gillette SuperSpeed butterfly type I picked up off that auction site.. It was okay. Then, I bought the EJ DE89 from Geo. I paired it with Astra Superior Plantinum blades and a tub of TOBS Sandalwood cream, also bought from Geo. I've been using this combination for years now. No problems and no discomfort. A very smooth shave! You can't lose with EJ! By the way, I did try several different blades before settling on the Astra. As far as aftershave, right now, my fav is Captain's Choice Nor'Easter balm, again, from Geo.

Good job on keeping a 10 year old razor like new ! Keep it up ! 👍

Does not create a sliding film for me. Do I need to pick up more or less soap with the brush?

Hi! Great video as always. I have a question, between this one and the Parker 94R which one is more efficient? I need it for head shaving every second day, so it must be aggressive but not dangerous for the skin. Thanks in advance!

Is it better to get the rubber handles compared to the chrome ones.
@ianmayer29513 жыл бұрын
Geo, is there a reason you don't hang your brushes by the handle instead of the bristles? a matter of preference or it's meant to be hanged that way ? I always hanged mine at the very top of the handle... I think it looks better and balanced side by side with my safety razor.
@geofatboy3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ian-Most of my brush handles don't fit in the stand, but they do where the knot meets the handle. Hanging somewhere on the handle eventually scratches the handle so be careful with that.

do you have EJ logo on all base plates? i saw some without them. are they fake? you mentioned they changed recently. are the one with logo old and new razors don not have them? also, some have sheffield england and some do not. whats with that?
@geofatboy3 жыл бұрын
I don't think the older EJ razors have the shields on the base plate. You can see, the new one's do.

Yo Brother Geo ! Admire how you always keep in rotation a good no nonsense Big Boar Brush with backbone- It's Your silver handle Proraso Boar by Omega.. If you get around to it, see if you sell the [Omega Professional Boar number 10098] Its a big handled boar that would substitute well the next time you want to use the silver handle Proraso on air.. Can you dig it??

Hi Geo! I love your channel. I'd like to get rid of cartridge razors altogether, could you recommend a DE for shaving my scrotum, my girlfriend has very particular demands. I'd rule out a straight razor as I have to shave the perineum blind. Thanks
@geofatboy3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Michael! I'm not recommending anything for the downtown area (liability issues) but safety razors are good for shaving (just about) everything... •DE89: bit.ly/DE89RazorSN •R89: bit.ly/R89RazorSN •34C- bit.ly/HD34CRazorSN •Rockwell 6C: bit.ly/Rockwell6CSafetyRazorSN
