While talking about signaling the boom up or down the video is showing ‘hammerhead’ tower cranes where that is not an available function. The trolley does that. Also the “stop” signals are not what is typically used. The closed fist means stop and is what 99.9% of people use as the signal.

The closed fist is not a stop signal and indicates the signal man has not been trained. AKA you. Lol

@@keyjam9 Guaranteed I was signaling cranes while you were still in diapers. Closed fist is absolutely understood as “stop”. If you are unaware of the absolute most common stop signal, let’s hope you’re never the one in the seat getting signals.

The only thing good about this video id the signalperson. Portions of the subject matter is inaccurate. Also, almost all of the loads being moved are not secure and are dangerous.

Omg yes . Total dangerous rigging.

I have easily offended people on-site so cannot do your stop signal

Crane operator here. If you want to make a ACTUAL crane signaling video, i am available for consultation. This video is dangerous. Viewers must not engage in the rigging practices you see here. The signals are correct but incomplete. You show a fixed boom tower crane while showing the boom up/down signals. Very amateur. The pallet of bricks at 5:02 is particularly disturbing, but just one of many rigging atrocities in this video.
