Eek-A Mouse- 'Wa Do Dem'-Jazz Cafe-July 15,2022 Fri.(2nd of 2 nights)

Born Ripton Joseph Hylton, the man who would later be known as ’Eek had his debut LP in 1980 with: “Bubble Up Yu Hip” and started his distinctive style of singing which I would describe as a Mexican jumping bean on a trampoline on helium gas. He actually invites members onstage to try to teach them how to sing like him (Impossible. They all fail miserably! Probably one of the strangest frontmen ever, he even changes into at least three outfits in a getup you wouldn’t imagine, at all, for anyone.
Always a fun and slightly chaotic night out.

I may have said this 100 times on here. Saw Eek at Myskyn's Charlston, SC. My boy wanted to burn one with Eek after the show. Had some good weed & in the 80's that was hard to come by. Eek said let me see. Put it in his pocket and away he went.... RIP Ricky That story always makes me laugh.... King Eek-A-Mouse rules!
