For those of you that saw this briefly yesterday, this is a reupload. The reason is, I ran into a nasty issue with the upload that led to 30 seconds of footage being corrupted. SRB. It now stands for Solid Reusable Booster. I've been here since Eve Infinity if my memory serves, but I only hit the red button with that VTOL space submarine. When you went to Duna on electric power with that insane space drone trebuchet I found the bell and went back to watch what I had missed. I eagerly clicked on the interplanetary helicarrier when it came in my notifications and I watched wide eyed like I used to watch the Olympic games as a child. Arrakeen City and the light speed mass driver both blew my mind, and now you've finally hit 100K as I knew you would. Obscure video pro tip: Red lines on video always look pixelated, due to the way it's being encoded (Y'CbCr 4:2:0 - meaning that color pixels are 2x2 pixels large, and red's Y value is kinda close to black). Colors with Y=100% (yellow, cyan, magenta, green) and any shade of grey (which just use smaller pixels) tend to look much nicer. In each case: That was an awesome video! And congrats on 100k subs!
@Stratzenblitz753 жыл бұрын
Thanks! That is good to know. Is this something I can fix, or is this on KZbin's side? I will admit, I didn't care that much about video quality after I saw 5-6 uploads fail from what I'm assuming is too high bitrate. This video came out at crf 22 and I just uploaded it to make it work.
@LeoWattenberg3 жыл бұрын
@@Stratzenblitz75 This is something you can't really fix with codecs; KZbin will mercilessly convert it back to 4:2:0 (and most other platforms, too). This is something though you can take into consideration when designing your scenes and overlays - I love the idea of handwritten notes pointing out things, maybe exchanging the red handwriting directly on the screen with, for example, post-it-notes that get slapped onto it might look nice and transport the same vibe/meaning. As for your failing uploads, I'm not sure why that happened, KZbin should eat anything as long as you stay below 128 GB. If you care about this enough to investigate it further, feel free to hop over into the official KZbin Gaming discord, I can typically be found there.
