You didn't list the worst possible use of this device.... Landing assist for craft coming in on a minmus approach! No need for any pesky landing burns, just, yknow, catch them.

I tried today with a MK3 pod, Jeb and Val are in the pod, I used a heat shield to slow down to 200m/s and used a parachute to slowdown to 7m/s before hitting Jool's 0 altitude, the chutes auto cut off and my pod continue to go down inside Jool. I used the true volumetric clouds, and the scenery inside Jool is fenomenal. But I received the crash report when I hit -40km, but I was trying to eject my heat shield, don't know it's the -40km altitude or the jettison of the heatshield caused the crash, I should've already passed the kill plane.

Im genuinely curious, what sort of setup do you have to handle these monstrous creations of yours?
