One of the greatest bands ever in my books. Lyrical genius and great musicians as well. So many songs about life and emotions we can all relate to.

Amazing what a brilliant performance you get from a guitar, a bass and percussion when creative people come together. Those were the days of Eels for me. Let it be inspiration for musicians to come.

It's actually a Mosrite copy. The awesome "Univox Hi-Flier" is phase 4 model from the late seventies. My dad had two. They sound amazing!!! Kurt Cobain was known for using these guitars.

I do too. It was such a great time. Nobody cares what the other done and everything was pretty much accepted. And our music and music festivals were undescribable. People that didn't live it just won't understand how special the 90's were.
@Blackburstgenerator13 жыл бұрын
It's not a Mosrite, It's a Univox 'Hi-Flyer'. That me handing E the guitar. I was his guitar tech for all these early tours. E had a bunch of these guitars. They sounded amazing with his old Fender amp. I found the 'E' sticker for it and re-labeled his fender amp,'Fucker'. I bought a yellow Hi-Flyer that E used for a while from him in 99 and used it on some Farflung recordings. GREAT guitars...too bad Kurt Cobain made a habit of making them into kindling..

what have happened between Tommy and E? what's your opinion as an eyewitness?
@Blackburstgenerator3 жыл бұрын
@@MagnumBoy50cal well, I'd never divulge gory details ('what happens on tour, stays on tour') but I think overall, Tommy wanted more input on things. He's a super talented musician and songwriter on his own so it probably worked out best for all parties.

poor mark everett no tour dates! The thwarted genius, with one tragedy after another in his life. The best song besides this is "DREAMS", and you know all the songs mean something whatever you think of them. He is one of the few people in music i actually think about at times. Wow, that must have been a really great job! If you don't mind me asking, what fender amp and distortion pedals did he use? I'm presuming he is using a distortion pedal, he might be switching amps though.
@Blackburstgenerator3 жыл бұрын
Can't recall the exact Fender amp, maybe a Bassman. It was old.. I remember E telling me that it had been hot rodded with some different tubes. He used an older green Big Muff and a Sansamp pedal as well.
