G damn, Bran Stark - if I wasn't looking at your name and "1 year ago", I'd have sworn that I typed that comment. I had a feeling this might be the case going into this song - that nostalgia might make a sharp, last minute u-turn into melancholy, but I went in anyway.

It makes me feel like my entire body is made of honey, and that honey is just spreading blissfully into the world around me, turning everything into the physical manifestitation of the feeling you get/got when your true love first crawled into a warm bed with you under the covers, and softly put their arms around you, making you feel in equal parts warmer and cooler at the same time as they held you and you felt their legs entertwine with yours..... Sorry guys, I articulate things oddly, but that's what I feel when I hear this song. lol

This was the first mp3 I've ever downloaded from that newfangled "Internet" thing. It was 1996 or 1997 i believe. It was at a friends' place, since I didn't have internet connection back then (that afternoon was actually the first time I've ever seen it), and wouldn't have it for another 2 years. He told me he could find me any song I want, and I asked this one since I loved it at the time. I believe we downloaded that extremely low-quality mp3 for at least 45 mins, and then he gave it to me on a floppy disk. Happy days.

@@Dani92670 no if ur going to believe the bible and u know history or u don't have to know ur history. just do a search on the seige of jerusalem in 70AD and u will find that the prophecy the bible jesus of luke 21:20 that when jerusalem is surrounded by armies then know that destruction is nigh. this prophecy was fulfilled in 70AD when titus and his armies did more than surround jerusalem they all but leveled it to the ground. that would mean a 20 year old person witnessing the bibles account of the crucifixion would only of been approx. 57 years old. and also making matt 24:34 'truly this generation SHALL NOT pass till all these things be fulfilled.' and the jesus also said, matt 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom..... that would of been those christians of the bible who were behind the walls seeing prophecy happening right before their eyes. but is it any wonder the WORLD controllers don't wish for this to be known. person it is 2020. time for our VISION to also be 20/20 and see with our eyes. hey but i get it, to each there own.

I am 64 yrs old, saw The Beatles live on Ed Sullivan, saw The Doors in 1967, lived thru the 70's, Zeppelin, and 80's new wave, etc. Without a doubt the mid 90's from 1994 to about 2001 or 2002 was the single greatest 7-8 year period of music EVER. Don't ask me why, maybe it's a personal thing, maybe it's the alt rock movement in full swing by then, but I know other ppl feel the same way too....I'm not alone. This song by The Eels was in late 1996 when a ton of great alt rock was happening.

just finished his autobiography "Things That Grandchildren Should Know". Great read! I basically became an Eels fan overnight :) I actually vaguely remember watching this music video when I was a kid (6-7 years old)

Still such a Great song! I remember when i worked in a NYC Comic Shop, we could play our own music. One saturday a co-worker had this song in a mix cd. An hour later the song is still playing. It had skipped so perfectly at one point in the song near the end where it would replay the song over and over. We left it on haha

The comment section here seems to be a fucking 90s nostalgia club. But if it is then I'm joining in.

Thinking the same, and somehow feeling at home, comfortable between my usual roaming on the internet among the great amounts of whiners out there, even though we seem to be doing the same here, as we feel old and "tomorrow´s food".

danny haobam pass the Dutchie. Nice bait and switch. This jam means so much to so many.. joker that I am and supporter if sarcasm and encourager of others conflicting opinions.. be them different than my own.. all the better that I myt be made aware of a different point of view.. tho very well it may influence and change my own.. so be it. Blind following the blind just means u like being led. And thats ok, too. Most folks are sheeple. They dont even know why they follow.. Cept. that its easier to be part of a hive mentality. It frees one up from the responsibility of the self. Im a SHEEP(LE) DOG. Dont know why I do it either cept u fuzzy silly shits need looking out for. Dont thank me for my service, citizen. Thank me for a lack of questioning why I did what I continue to do. Be well and sleep tight knowing bad shit happens wen good people do nothing. Cuz confused tho we are bout our current directives... we still have the concept thats its for you, the citizens, that we do it. Thanks for fielding this rant. In the wee hours wen thetruth begins to bite. . . I aint no nice guy after all.

Was 14 years old when this song played on the radio. One Saturday, I remember waiting for what seemed like HOURS to get through the radio commercials and other songs, JUST TO HEAR THE INTRO AND PRESS RECORD. Lol. Take me back!!!
