EEW Lazy Kate

I just got my Lazy Kate and I’m kicking myself for not ordering it before! I don’t think this Lazy Kate gets enough attention because everyone is always going so crazy over the awesome e-spinners, but this is a game changer. It is very hard to find a Lazy Kate that is so compact that you can bring it out and about when you’re spinning, but yet it’s still sturdy and works perfectly for home use. I am so glad I have this!

I transfer from bobbins to cones and the cones like to move around(naughty little buggers). So I asked my Gunnard what he had that might help to keep them settled down. Hmmm he said........ He had some pieces of very thin packing foam. Ha! Used a cone as a cutting guide. Cut a center circle. And Bob's your uncle! (my uncles are Roger, Randall and Richard). Cones stay at home and I'm delighted with myself lol😂. Have a fabulous today, Steph

Will some of the features like the yarn spike and adapter be available to purchase separately and be used with the original lazy kate?

I’ve got one in my cart! One of the things I’ve read is that some prefer their Kates to be at a bit of an angle…would there be a way to achieve that? Maybe I could use a magnetic chip clip or two on the back 🤔

I did some testing with angles and I really didn't find an advantage to that, but there was a disadvantage of the bobbins coming off the rod more so I didnt' do that. You can mount these to a board and then angle the board if you want. Or if you have some other idea go for it. I'd be interested to see if there are cases where the angle is better. My beta testers and my experimenting didn't see an advantage to the angle, but it did look cool. That just wasn't a good enough justificiation for me to do it that way.

love it, but the 3d print adapter is not on printable yet?

I will add it there when I list it for sale on my website. The 3D printable version doesn't work well with the rods here, but hopefully they will get modified like my previous version did to make them stronger when 3D printed. My favorite was the version that let you add your own knitting needle or dowel as a shaft.

It is a second version, but I'm just calling it the EEW Lazy Kate. The previous version was called the Lazy Kate.
