7:20 Funny thing about that; in the comics there are two rules that every version of the Infinity Gems throughout every timeline follows without question, those being: 1. The gems *Cannot* be used to destroy themselves; This being because each gem represents that aspect of reality and destroying them will also destroy that aspect alongside it. 2. The gems *Do not* function outside their own universe; This being because the gems represent their Universe specifically and any universe outside of it is made out of something different. Two of the Gauntlets most important and only actual rules and Endgame somehow manages to break both of them
@spooplegeist52605 жыл бұрын
The movies aren’t the comics, so they can change that if they so choose. As long as they follow the rules they establish... which they don’t.
@spooplegeist52603 жыл бұрын
@Ed Carone It’s lazy storytelling because it breaks its own rules. Not because it breaks the rules of a different version of the story. Not every adaptation has to follow the rules of the source material it’s based on. If that were the case, then comics themselves wouldn’t even work because they get rebooted every couple years.

To Shad, in case of Hafþór (the mountain) crushing someone skull with his hand, it has a great likelihood of being possible, the man deadlifted almost half a ton (475 kg) breaking the world record, he is literally the strongest man in the world, he also threw up a 25 kg weight over a bar with 6,1 meters of height. @@alexmag342 then why dose changing your grip make such a difference and why do some people have to use straps due to the weight? Because if you can't grip the bar the muscles doing the pull can't do their job. @@hunterfudge2597 I never had problems with grip, neitheir any of my friends, but fair enough I assume some people might have weak enough grips to make it a problem, maybe due to eitheir rampant steroid usage(muscles growth being far too fast compared to your hand grip strenght growth which would be weaker hence those people plateauing) or just lack of hard work regarding hands leadimg to those people have soft hands and weaker grips. So I can see reasons, I just never had seen anybody with grip problems to preventing them to properly deadlift Me and my friendz when we were younger grinded grain since we lived in a village and had to work in our families farms which had barely any machines, so I guess our grip could be considerably higher than average.

The film that you're analyzing starting 2:33 is based on the book titled The Deluge (Potop in Polish). The film was made in 1974. It's the second part in the trilogy of books by Henryk Sienkiewicz that are very important in Polish literature. This part is set during the Second Northern War, between 1655 and 1660, which is known in Poland as the Swedish Deluge. The basic gist of the scene is that one of the knights, Wołodyjowski, the one with better stance is trying to humble the other, Kmicic, the hot headed one, but not really kill him, and that's why he lets him pick up the sword and doesn't always strike when he has the opportunity. In the book it's made clear that Wołodyjowski could wipe the floor with Kmicic at any moment. I know I'm probably a bit late for you to read this but I wanted to clear that up for anyone interested. Oh, and the last blow wasn't deadly. The character survives that, he just had a concussion.

Own a sword for manor defence, since that's what the Magna Carta intended. Four heathens break into my cottage. "What in the Lord's name?" As I grab my aventail bascinet and windlass arbalest. Punch a bolt through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Throw a pot of naft at the second man and miss entirely since it's a hand thrown grenade in the dark and burns down the neighbour's harvest causing them to starve in the winter. I have to resort to the pot of boiling oil at the top of the hay loft "Deus Lo Vult!" The boiling oil completely drenches two men and cause them to scream in agony and writhe on the ground, racked with incomprehensible pain. The screams of pain frightens horses in nearby stables. Draw sword and charge the last terrified infidel. He bleeds out with no one to assist him since this is Feudal Europe and nobody gives a shit. Just as the Magna Carta intended.

Only 3 hours and 43 minutes?! Short man bad... in MY opinion.

Found this really educational and fun to listen to! But it doesn’t reach the 4 hour mark so it’s objectively bad

To answer Maulers question of blood flow when an artery is opened up, the answer is yes. If you open up an artery, its like turning on a water faucet.

Reasons why no one should have been suprised by the inclusion of time travel in Endgame: In the film Doctor Strange, Steven Strange uses the time stone to manipulate time often; in Infinity War, Dr Strange still has the time stone, and by the end Thanos has and uses said time stone; Dr Strange's last words before being dusted are about there only being one reality in which the Avengers win, and in scifi cinema, parallel realities go hand in hand with time travel; the trailers allude to earlier eras, especially with Steve; if you've heard the makers of Antman and its sequel say anything, you've probably heard them talk about time moving differently in the quantum realm; it was pretty much the only place Marvel hadn't gone, having gone to other realms in Thor films, other realities in Dr Strange, and other planets in a bunch of films.

I guess people feel that time travel is a lazy plot device.

In Infinity War, they easily could have explained why Thanos’s arm wasn’t chopped off by the portals by showing Strange trying to do just that and Thanos holding the portals open with the stones until it's no longer a practical option. There you go; problem solved.

The Russo Brothers actually answered a lot of the plot holes in an interview (bgr.com/2019/04/30/avengers-endgame-ending-russo-brothers-on-captain-america-iron-man/). They answered with some of the worst possible answers, though. For example: "Q: How did Thanos bring his army to the future? A: There is a guy called Maw in his army; he was a great wizard. Thanos himself was a brilliant genius as well. Those two easily reverse engineered, and mass-produced Pym Particles." Meaning they had the power to make Thanos into Ant-Man too, as well as his entire army. Among other things.

Another cracking podcast mooLer! I’m loving the diversity by adding a guest who really seemed to be an expert on the use of firearms in the 19th century - I love learning while being entertained !Maybe invite this guy called Mauler next time? He has similar takes to you and it would be interesting to see where you guys have different opinions. Rag’s was okay.

I think a big part of the Troy duel is that Achilles is much better than Hector and he knows it so most of the time he's just screwing with Hector.

I think the idea with the suit they're going for is that everything has to be hermetically sealed. Which a spaceship would obviously be.
