I am appalled that Bobrisky is jailed. Nigeria is fond of double standards. Bobrisky did not defraud anybody. I am a Muslim and a grandmother but sending him to jail is height of chasing shadows. Workers are suffering, people are dying for no fault of theirs. I think he should be released with immediate effect.

I kept saying this during the time when they banned sachet alcohol. Nigeria was at an all time low economically and security wise, but a radio station in my city held discussions about this alcohol ban for nearly 3 days. Adeola, i share your views and opinions on issues. Truth be told, i have been an unrepentant supporter and ardent viewer of your vlog. However, i beg to disagree with your opinion of bobrisky's conviction (deliberate use of lower case). He could have been fined, jailed, or both, depending on the presiding judge's interpretation and discretion. The Nigerian laws allows for that. I am in the diaspora as well where tolerance for these things are mandatory but it does not change the fact that his demeanor, especially in the Nigerian culture is amoral and unacceptable. This kind of influence is not acceptable in our society. Will you accept a son that turns out like him? Rhetorical Q. Your environment does not accept an honest opinion, likewise mine. Yes, focus should be centered more on our corrupt leaders to which i agree in totality but is it wrong if we start with the low hanging fruits? Everyone knows his conviction is not about naira mutilation.

You've got to be kidding me that you compare Bobrisky to Jesus. You should repent because what you have done is called blasphemy and may God forgive you. If you think Bobrisky is a saint, you must be smoking Crack. Bobrisky is a bad influence to our young boys, who think all they need to do is put on clothes and make up to get men to sleep with them for money. If Bobrisky does not repent, what awaits him when he dies is much greater. You join Bobrisky to mock God, to compare him to Jesus, you are despicable. God cannot be mocked. God made him a man, in God's image and likeness but Bobrisky chose to reject how God made him. I condemn people like who, who think you can mock God. Shame on you

Am surprised that people are complaining about the Bobrisky duration of prosecution and sentenced that it's too fast. I wonder when an accused pleaded guilty to charges against him before the judge, what else do these people expect from the judge, to adjourn ruling indefinite? Cases lasted for eternity in court because the accused pleaded of not guilty, then trial will commence whereby evidence is require from the prosecutor.
@lilboyblue30005 ай бұрын
The answer to her question was obvious. There's no reason to expect the trial to drag on if he pleads guilty. This is why plea bargains are used in the US.

If EFCC starts to pick up everybody who once molested the naira, people will later say lack of priority. How many people will they pick up because a lot of people are guilty of this offence. Notwithstanding, anybody unfortunate (eg Bobrisky in this case) to be caught should face the law and let it be as a warning. Without this stern punishment, people will not take it seriously.
