I’m in CT. I suffer from bilateral meralgia paresthetica caused by inguinal hernia surgery. The doctor said there is no treatment after pain relievers, nerve block, and physical therapy. Now I hearing about I’m hearing about nerve stimulation.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Meralgia paresthetica can indeed be challenging to manage, especially when standard treatments like pain relievers, nerve blocks, and physical therapy haven’t provided lasting relief. Peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS) may offer another option to help manage pain by directly targeting the nerves involved. Unlike spinal cord stimulators, PNS is often used for specific nerve pain conditions, including those caused by surgery. Since you’re in Connecticut, you may want to consider visiting our New Jersey office to consult with Dr. Wiederholz, who has had success using PNS to treat meralgia paresthetica. A specialist can help determine if this approach might be a good fit for your situation. Wishing you the very best on your journey to finding relief! www.performancepain.com/contents/about-us/locations/lawrenceville
