US Registered Nurses are the central figure in the hospital and are responsible for the holistic care of the patient. Thus, USRN's are expected to effectively communicate with a variety of people; from nurse to nurse communication, to other healthcare professionals to patients, and their family members.
To be successful as a US Registered Nurse, it is important to understand that U.S. healthcare is very service-oriented. The patient experience is very critical; USRN's have to consider how we make the patient feel, how we engage patients and their families.
