Hi James, This is truly a Game-Changing-Lesson! I used to wonder how the professionals mix in so many variations around a Riff/Groove and play it along an entire song. This lesson truly opens it up. Many thanks! You are such a great teacher!! Loving every bit of your lessons!!

James, once again you have taken something I've been struggling to learn and made it so easy to understand. Thank you! Favorite funk line is *hard* to pin down but I'll go with Sly and the Family Stone's "Thank you"

BOSS LESSON LAH!! Funk bass lines for me are: 1) Fencewalk by Mandrill, 2) if you want me to stay by Sly and The Family Stone, and anything from the legendary James Jamerson, particularly Bernadette.

Thank you for the lesson James, so much fun here. Good to have these licks in the bag. Louis Johnson or Bernard Edwards for funky disco sounds for me.

Question - your bass, it is very nice indeed - I notice there's no truss rod at the headstock - is it easy to access it from the other end, or you need to remove the neck? Thanks.

John Norwood Fisher and Flea -- you can't get much funkier than these two as far as well-knowns go, HOWEVER female bassist America Paz is a SUPER funky 'unknown' player (as far as mainstream) and in the jazz realm, it's hard to top Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten. There are so many - hard to pick just one
