Very well explained. What I like most - he explains the nature of the effect and it's influence on the guitar's sound. Uses simple methods - speaks about how it works, how to use it. He shows clear, noticeable differences between each knob purpose. Short, solid, great video.

these videos explain it better than I can. I would say that reverb simulates how sound bounces off walls in a big room, which causes sounds to persist a little longer than you would perceive without reverb. Delay instead is like an echo, a subtle repetition of sound. You can have both effects simultaneously.

Consider these two groups of effects : group1 : " delay, reverb" group2: " flanger, phaser, chorus". The elements of group 2 are similar because they all imply phase modulation. So, what about group 1 and what are the differencies between those two groups

I know Johnny DeMarco's demos can seem kind of silly, but you'd be hard-pressed to find somebody who's as diligent in going over each control knob on the pedals in his demos so that you know exactly what you can do with the effect. Dan Miller on the Electro Harmonix demos is the only other one I know of who does that...most others just get caught up in "Look how cool I sound with this pedal!!!"
