This is a HUGE leap forward for DJ Studio! I am wondering if it is possible or in a roadmap to have the effects like flanger or Echo be dialed in per frequency. For example: run an echo only on the Mids and not the highs and Lows. Similar to running effects on a DJM 900 Nexus 2 Mixer

Pioneer has an amazing effect called "Fill Out" on their Rev7 which is a copy of Virtual DJ's Shaker bEaTS plugin FX. Does anyone know if this can also be a possible VST effect?

but you cant make effects inside decks mixing box/area? for example, how to make an echo at the end of a song like you can do with a Pioneer mixer effects? an echo that goes a little further from the end of the song, that would be cool

We have an Echo-out effect in the transition window for that. Also a Reverb-out effect.

Noise yes, Flanger no. Not at the moment. Soon we will release effect-blocks. They can contain any predefined effect with automation and get placed anywhere. Also in a transition.

i´m in the beta now. The app scans the "folder" and integrate only vst3 plugins. how to change the folder (or see which one was choosen) and why only vst3 most of my vsts didnt show up EDIT: i found under appdata roaming the xml file it says "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\"

We are working on a feature where you can change the vst folder. We only show VSTs in DJ.Studio that help you to enhance the sound. We are not compliant with VSTs that add sound, for example adding a kick. Could that explain why you do not see most of your VSTs?

@@djstudioapp i know and i appreciate your work and love to get this feature done. fe fabilter isnt vst3 for me so i couldnt use it on the master. fyi if two tracks got a vst compressor on it (in my case karzogs tru Iron) the program cant buffer it in transition section properly + some of my vsts dont get any signal trough the master chain .. like sooth2 or smooth operator

We could do that. But remember that we use a different zoom factor. In this helicopter view you would see one big mess of your VDJ tracks. That's why we choose these wave forms.

I started a year ago and this software has been awesome. My mixes keep getting better. Composition is something totally separate, but you can get started by editing tracks in DJ Studio .

This Friday we want to start the beta of the VST integration. It is far and functional but we know some flaws that we want to fix before every beta tester comes up with the same input. I know it is cool but please bear with us a few more days ;-)

We sidechain the volume of the tracks if you want. We have no sidechain effects planned on the VSTs.

Ehhh Fabfilter is a big winner of course. But the limiter is good enough in our opinion. Luckily we have VST support on the master channel as well so you can use Pro-L in DJ.Studio ;-)

You can add those to the sample lanes. We keep two decks for the flow and the tempo of the mix.

djStudio is still missing one key feature! The button that keeps user's head from exploding due to so many awesome features in one application. 😅 (head explode limiter ) Jokes aside, Mr Higgins must be really proud of what this invention has become. I think one could make an entire mixing career using only this tool. Good job.

I would like to see the program automatically align the tracks. Since some tracks do not sound very good, especially old tracks mixed with new ones. After listening to the finished mixes, this is audible. So that the finished mix and the tracks in it all sound the same. Some kind of mastering of the mix using AI

@@mmediawebdev4984 If you play tracks from the same label, then as a rule everything is fine, since the mastering is the same. But if you add an old track from the late 90s or early 2000s, then it is very noticeable in the sound. It is noticeable in wave forms. I think they will do this in the future. Or, as an option, do mastering of the mix

The idea is that you can arrange this yourself with gain and compression. But we also have an auto-gain function fi you want. Not as good as manual but better than nothing ;-)
