However, a necessary thing you can do is to raise your spiritual consciousness to break free of your problems. Krishna is in English. When you give IAST transliteration from Sanskrit to English, it becomes Kṛṣṇa -(note the dots ) So both Kṛṣṇa and Krishna are fine.. though Kṛṣṇa is more accurate

It's understandable to have sex within marriage. But to restrict sex during marriage seems extreme. Shouldn't it be for the couple to decide what is good for them? And there's studies that it helps women during pregnancy when their hormones are wild. Restrictions for a couple that is passionate about each other seem counteractive, and can tempt people outside of the marriage and/or religion. Indefinitely is not just physical it's also emotional. Passion runs out. Duty doesn't. Too much sex at the beginning of marriage can often lead to disappointment later on when the same cannot be kept up due to various reasons. Understand it this way, a lot of people do intermittent fasting of 16 to 18 hours and then enjoy good food. It's the fasting which keeps them both healthy and allows the food to taste even better. However, a person who is stuffing himself/herself with food all the time will suffer both physically and the taste too diminishes irrespective of quantity. Quantity doesn't equal quality. As for the rights of couples to choose, yes they can and should. However, the criteria of the choice should be as to whether their goal is to keep trying to enjoy this body or God realization. Cause both is not possible. As Prabhupada explains, one cannot do nonsense throughout the day and then become God conscious. So restrictions are not meant to suppress but to uplift us if our goal is God realization.

However, as a spiritual teacher like a doctor, Srila Prabhupada is giving advice; ultimately, it's up to the patient to decide whether to follow or not. For those interested in spiritual advancement, mindless sense enjoyment, be it sex, overeating, or entertainment, will limit their eagerness to focus on spiritual endeavor. "Restrictions for a couple that is passionate about each other seem counteractive and can tempt people outside of the marriage and/or religion." Spiritual life is a journey that involves both partners, their desires, etc. Therefore, personal guidance is essential to handling life situations appropriately in light of spiritual standards. As far as sex during pregnancy, the mental disposition of the mother influences the baby's mentality and thus influences its future. That's why proper spiritual training from childhood is necessary so that when the person comes to the stage of bearing a child, they have become sober enough to control the urges through spiritual practice. Scriptures don't neglect physical conditions such as hormones, etc. Rather, they equip us to deal with them on another level. Medical studies are done by people who identify themselves as the body and don't have a spiritual dimension to life, so their opinions will be skewed by their limited understanding. However, scriptures see from a larger perspective how the baby's mental disposition will be affected for life. Through regular chanting and other spiritual practices, we will naturally realize our true identity as spirit soul, and also, our physical and mental demands for undue enjoyment will reduce. Dear prabhu, restrictions vary according to one's age and level of spiritual commitment, influence of three modes etc. Be sincere and strict to the best of your capacity and offer prayers to krishna for further purification. When the heart is cleansed and spiritual consciousness is increased and with age naturally detachment will arise. Focus on spiritual practices and regulate your sex life, details are upto how quickly you want to be spiritually advanced and what is the your spiritual stregth and commitment in reality.

You don't become impotent after having "illicit" sex. If you're married, and you and your wife are consenting adults then there's nothing wrong with having sex more than once in a month. In fact it's scientifically proven that it's good for health. The main issue with ISKCON and other religious groups is that they hold pretty extreme views similar to catholics when it comes to things like sex. Just my two cents.

True , IMO, ISKON behaves like Islam is someway .While I agree that we should'nt behave like animal, but how did arrive to that figure, having sex once per month is good and not more than that. Basic principle is regulation. Unregulated sex life is not healthy, in general, even leaving aside spiritual advancement. Regulation is sexual habits is required for elevating one's consciousness beyond bodily needs. How much to regulate and how to regulate depends on the person's spiritual eagerness and other factors like interest and ability of the spouse etc. No one is expected to artificially step up but not having any regulation is also not recommended.

Sex without marriage is bad.. Thats correct but to control sex within married life sounds illogical.. Couple need emotional attachment also.. I think prabhupada ji said it to be IDEAL. Am i right prabhu❓

I didn’t understand why one can have sex with wife only after menstrual cycle

To understand this one also needs to understand the wisdom behind the menstrual practices of the ancient times. During menstrual cycle, women are allowed full rest from doing any type of house work for in those days without electricity, cleaning, cooking, fetching water all involved hard manual labor. It would be strenuous for a menstruating lady to do manual work. So they were allowed to rest. In ideal conditions, if the lady's menstrual cycle is aligned with the moon cycle, the prana or energy flow according to Ayurveda is upwards after the moon cycle and her body is well rested and anxiety free, so during sex she will be able to absorb the male energy well into her body and her uterus would also be rejuvenated for the process of fertilizing the egg.

It cant be denied it is unlawful. But even if I leave sex life. If i wish to marry just for emotional.fulfilment. iskcon might separate us husband and wife. That is what iskcon does.
