I am only 14 and I am going to slowly get off of Effexor in a couple weeks. The brain fog that the medicine has caused me is so miserable and my mind can barely function and it has given me thoughts of suicide. It’s good to know that I’m not the only one going through this and I hope your journey is successful(I know it will be).

Stay strong , its awesome what you doing for us.im on 50mg for year now. Im so scared to taper to 37.5m in this summer but side effects are no longer worth it.

Some people call it a factory reset of the brain. It's my end goal as well. How did you know you were allergic to Lexapro?

The whole lexapro story is real brutal. It happened at the same time of a severe herx reaction from Lyme disease. Lexapro put me in the hospital over 50 times in 6 months. Severely high episodes of blood pressure, the most intense mental and physical symptoms you could possibly imagine. Not one doctor thought the lexapro could be doing it to me. The second I got off of it i started feeling better. The whole Lyme thing on top of it just make everything worse. Was a truly horrible time.
