Thank you so much for your update 🙏. I get you all the way! I have also figured out, that gut health is the key to get more calm and helps lower akathisia. It is unbelievable, what we have to figure out ourselves to survive. I use fasting from time to time and like you, I eat a very strict diet. Gluten free, low histamine, no oxalate and avoid a lot of other stuff because of mastcell-reactions etc. Yes, Mark Horowitz is a life saver in this community of poisoned people of psychiatric drugs. I’m on the same road. Tapering Effexor and trying to fix my gut.. I am trying not to give up. It’s f hell some days, but I believe we can do it!

I was about half way through my Citalopram taper when I quit cold turkey. I felt the greatest I’d felt in months and that lasted for about a week before I started experiencing major depression for the first time in my life. That was half a year ago now and I haven’t got much better, though my symptoms come and go. I have no idea what happened but I assume I sustained some sort or injury from the medication or failing to taper. All of this is to say you’re right that tapering is no joke and you can seriously ruin your life if you rush it.

I know what you are going through, is hell. Effexor no joke. Taking that for 4 years. I end that and hell kom to me. Almost killed me. Withdrawal, brain zaps. Sucide thinking. threw up, hard to walk. tremors. the anxiety so strong screamed into my pillow every minute.. i had to change to cipralex. No try again. For long time take out this crap. Thx doctors, they say nothing about this. I really regret starting. Destroy my life Nick/ Sweden support

Are u taking effexor xr? and if so do u know how many beads are 37.5mg? As at present I am taking 132 beads of effexor xr, but have no idea of what I am taking in mg. Any help will be greatly appreciated, many thanks

Just stumbled on you bud.... Cold turkeyed off PAXIL after 20 years, several months back and I should have tapered... The last few weeks have been rough.... Dont want th reverse the progress Ive made.. Any suggestions? We should stay in touch
