Chers. ☕️ A document that gathers all lore and history from the books, that’s quite a treasure. The world of Symbaroum is so rich and there are layers upon layers. That’s what makes this game great. But the information is very spread out through many modules and it’s easy to miss or fail to connect the dots.

I just copied relevant stuff as a memo of course, since I have the books. But I think you can still find a lot of info here, and for details, do to the Discord channel and ask. People are quite knowledgeable there. drive.google.com/file/d/14Vk58MtUKOUI5qzUNbCdtEOttpsz4Tix/view?usp=share_link

You are not alone in your man cave :D Of course I'd love to get a link to your material. I liked the small tangent on player agency. In my philosophy the players are responsible for their own fun. The GM isn't their entertainer. But one thing about sandboxes: It's not that there is no 'plot' (a term I do not like in TTRPGs), but that the players have to decide what their adventure will be about, ideally through their character's backstory. Still not everyone's cup of tea, but sandbox doesn't mean that nothing is going on in the world.

Yeah, of course. But my table, and I suspect many others, still expect the GM to feed off the backstories and come up with an interesting inciting incident fro the group. Also, not every table has players that go deep into backstory territory. Because it means having a good knowledge of the setting, usually. And often, players are just dropped off in a new game and a new setting. So then again, the GM has an important role to play to give the initial momentum for a sandbox campaign. I guess my point is that sandboxes really aren't for everybody. :)

Btw, do you make your own handouts to give the players?
