Nice job mate , the Ditex scope will do the relative compression test as well ,and if you add the cop sensor to it will also do the ignition analysis also , im really liking the direction there going and there price point , great video ,good info , tx

Hi Rom, what is the spark line supposed to look like? Meaning what is the average time frame in ms should it be after the peak?

An average burn time is around 1.5ms or so but you have to bear in mind, that can change depending on the type of ignition system, type of plugs etc.

@@romanosautomotive yeah I figured and uses this rule but I saw one of your videos where the burn times was longer and you regap the plugs and it decrease. I'm still new to scoping. So wanna get out the kinks. SD gave a great explanation in one of his videos and book.

Yes that is correct. Spark plug gap, high resistance and other faults etc, can change that firing kv height and burn line length. Once you get comfortable knowing what you are looking at, it's easier to see what you may be looking at when seeing a secondary waveform
