You two together are the best of all the other instructors combined. I don’t ever look at any other KZbin teachers since you guys were found. Nice to see you are partnering with LAB Eric. I would love to try a broomstick putter but the cost keeks me from taking the chance without a test run. Wish a demo could be found locally.

Thanks Dan! I appreciate it---Trevor is one of the best, I really enjoy working with him. He makes my job really easy lol :) Def on LAB---I hear ya. My putting has been NIGHT AND DAY better since working with them!

Hallo Eric, many greetings from an older (79th) German Golfer, who started golfing 5 years ago. I watch alot of your golfvideos. Your "golflessons" are great. They are comprehensible, effortless to practice and very helpful in order to make my golfplaying better. I thank you very much for that!👍🙏 Walter

Congrats for having the courage to take up golf in your 70’s! It’s a great way to stave off old age! Don’t let the lazy old man creep in! God bless!

Thank you guys!! I needed this so much. Went to range last night and swung as slow as I possibly could for the whole bucket. Concentrated solely on my body just bringing my arms “along for the ride” kinda. It was a great session. Cheers fellas!

Your opening remarks described my game to a tee. Lots of arm tension, trying way too hard to knock the cover off the ball instead of being fluid. This video was gold. Thanks!

Absolutely on point! I've been focusing on this for the past several months. Soft shoulders and arms. Supple wrists. I move the club and arms on takeaway with my upper body turn, keeping the club head outside the hands. Allow the wrists to start setting early and get the trail shoulder move on the down swing as your recent video demonstrated.

I was at the range today with my golf instructor... my first swing I like felt like a teepee, my second swing I felt like a wigwam. My golf instructor said I was two tents. I'll have to watch this video and see if it can help. Nice collaboration work with Trevor. Thanks for posting.

Gotta loosen that grip up. That’ll allow you to toss that club right into the drink.

Tried this today at the range, started hitting some really good drives for the first time in ages. Had some issues with blocks before with the driver and this was a completely different feel with misses that were completely manageable. Irons however, lots of fat shots and some insane hooks. Perhaps just need to get the release timing right? Realise it’s hard to give advice without seeing the swing but I’ll make sure to post the swings with this applied next on cogorno golf. Thanks

Nice video. I like to use the term "soft" arms rather than "relaxed" arms for the very reasons you are mentioning. Excellent point you are addressing.

Really like this advice, It makes a lot of sense. I am guilty of being too tense through the golf swing losing structure and timing. Thank you.

Eric, I have a couple of your courses on PGZ. This was good but the one Trevor did by himself at the same course location where you filmed this one was probably the best of all ("FOR ME anyway) where he used the drill where he put 2 balls down three club widths behind the first ball on the ground to get me to hit the ball first and take my divot in front of the ball where you swing down missing the ball in back and hit only the ball further up was great. you guys make a great team together. when Trevor did that video he went through it step by step and it was almost like he was talking only to me.

Great tip. Would you do this for driver, woods, hybrids etc. How about more tips geared for the experienced (senior) golfer. Thanks so much. Your 🇨🇦 Friend
@CogornoGolf7 ай бұрын
Thank you! For sure I would say same thing for longer clubs and also for seniors! If you need to create a big more arm speed earlier you can try that as well!

This series with Trevor has been HUGE for me. Very tense person/player and this whole “be tension free but stay structured” has made so much sense to me and helped me. I check my shoulders now before every swing now. Thanks guys this is great!

I think a good drill to reduce tension is to exaggerate the feel by letting your arms bend and resting the club across your shoulders in a back swings starting position. Then start your swing by rotating and let it go where it will. You will be surprised how fast your club speed is. It's definitely just for feel not for the swing structure at all.

Great video, Guys! My question is about how to "turn on the jets". Do you try to accelerate the arms independent of the body? Or does the acceleration happen because you use the ground to speed up the arms? Cheers!

Hey! I would say not everyone will FEEL the same For me I feel both......the arms/club and the body. So everything :)

Hi Eric. You mentioned something very important in the video that I seek some clarity on. When say shoulders down, is this shoulders forwards of the chest or do you mean the scapulars are lowered into your rib cage ? Is it not important to have your scapulars down to remain connected as part of your body structure ? Thanks ⛳️
@CogornoGolf7 ай бұрын
Scapular lowered into ribcage! Up meaning AWAY from the ground DOWN meaning TOWARD the ground Good clarification!

Structure is imperative. My key is trying to keep the arms in front (avoid getting stuck). I swing too far from inside and the miss is left going left due to flip at bottom because of the arms stuck behind. My thought is ACTIVE SHOULDERS and PASSIVE ARMS AND WRISTS.

I wish you guys got into the loosie goosies at the top. For some reason when I go more passive my hands go over all the place. I can’t seem you control or stop my hands at the top, they keep going unless I extreme bow my wrists
@CogornoGolf7 ай бұрын
Hey Chris! Yeah I hear ya....thats what we were saying at the end there that there so many micro parts we could discuss. If thats a big issue for you two things I would test to help to keep structure and fix what you mention 1. Put an alignment rod under your trail armpit. Most of it hanging in front of you. When your lead arm hits it in backswing stop going back and start down 2. Try a smart ball between your forearms you could do those along with the concepts of this video I believe I show each of those option in this older one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ap20oamoqsalj6c&pp=ygUbRXJpYyBDb2dvcm5vIEdvbGYgY29ubmVjdGVk

Does Trevor lead with his hands a bit then the rest of the club follows? Is that because his wrists are so tension free?

For sure in these practice swings----he would be an exaggerated example. He's so good at that
