ey i'm new to printing but found a couple a videos had to watch all three and use different parts of them because nonone is explaining it well at all, but basically, the divot part of the build plate once you attach it in, that is your ( front ), pull it out flip it 180 degrees clock wise. the front divot should be facing at you but upside down now. and turn it sideways again this time flipped 180 degrees " clock wise "now lookat your grid what you see now is that the grid on the mars menu starting form 1 will be on the right side but its actually on the left side when you are looking at your build plate in the real world. this is if you also followed the orientation instructions above correctly . " that is 1 , 2 , 3 on the bottom right side going up" and then for the left side it repeats itself so go back down this time but on the left side and travel up like the right side. it will be 4, 5, 6 starting from the bottom of the left side going up. Mind you we are still holding the build plate sideways at 180 degrees clockwise. ok so lets summarize now. the " bottom right is "1" and it goes up . the top left is 6. make sure the plate is sideways 180 degrees clock wise . You can use the same method for calibrating 4 prints to 8 prints at once . Good luck oh one more thing the 1 value is you highest exposure and the 4 , 6, or 8 is your lowest exposure

What is your enclosure solution? I'm trying to decide on an enclosure to contain the fumes but I don't have a window that would work for an exhaust fan. I do have an air purifier (which I know won't get all of the particles but it's better than nothing) that I plan on having running inside the enclosure
@ThatDudes3DPrints11 күн бұрын
Hey so this is the one I have a.co/d/1AKAH94 it's currently unavailable but something similar to that or even a grow tent would be good those come in many sizes and can also come with air purifiers as well.

So the calibration has to be done for each resin we purchase. After that we set the exposure time for that resin correct?
@ThatDudes3DPrintsАй бұрын
Yes! That is correct unless of course it's the exact same resin. But yes every new bottle you calibrate. Just so you have the best possible prints!
@BobBob-mx9wmАй бұрын
Hey! Does this also work with the Saturn 4 (not ultra) because I have the regular Saturn 4 and I cannot find any videos on it
@ThatDudes3DPrintsАй бұрын
Hey so mostly yes it can be applied to the base Saturn 4. However with lift speeds being something extra I would suggest looking at other videos where they explain that and can give you a better idea on how to calibrate that. If I ever get my hands on one i would love to make a video on it but sadly I don't have one.

what do you do if you don't have a good print with the calibration piece? Add exposure, reduce exposure? I have issues with prints on the left side of the bed sticking to the supports.
@ThatDudes3DPrints3 ай бұрын
In your case it could be that the bed is not level or an issue with the "autobedlevel" not really that. But I would suggest contacting Elegoo and they can provide you with a g-code file to run and help with the leveling the bed.

I like to use the UVTOOLS and I never had any issues with my prints since I began using it. It can even help find island and resin traps when you load a sliced model. You should try it.

@@ThatDudes3DPrints what settings did you use for it in the Saturn 4 ultra
@JamesHouston3 ай бұрын
When importing the calibration cones, Chitubox complains of a damaged file and asks if I'd like to repair it or not. Not sure what option's the best, as I'd imagine choosing the wrong one may lead to incorrect calibration. All the best. xoxo

I have always opted to not repair it but I am not sure if doing the repair would change anything.

my first print on that machine failed..and it took on standard speed more like 59 minutes, im looking for an altenative to my original nextdent 5100 3D printer which everything about it is expensive.. I would like to speed print ..i am lost.
@ThatDudes3DPrintsАй бұрын
If you have the resin calibrated you can most likely switch to the fast option in the printer settings (Saturn 4 Ultra) and it will print faster and the resin will print well as long as it's calibrated beforehand

@@ThatDudes3DPrints I changed the setting in the slicer settings for the Y layering from 0.05 to 0.2 and it failed, can you do segment on how to do that or send me instruction, please .. I am almost giving up and returning the machine. also the fist 3 prints I did on the standard speed came out precise fit... but I don't know what changed they are coming out very tight... I have to adjust a lot. thank you
@ThatDudes3DPrintsАй бұрын
Yes I can do a segment on that but when I go to .1mm i increase my exposure time by 50% so if your going to .2mm i would say try doing that to start. May I ask why your going to a lower resolution on your prints?

I usually use Plasticity to model. If you want to make keys but the put apoxy on them I would say maybe some just standard resin would be fine or some ABS like resin for stronger parts
