I just got into 3D resin printing and your tutorial video on how to change the FEP sheet is the best and easiest to understand that I've found. Thank you so much!!🥳

Thanks for this, very useful and well made. I'm just about to change mine for the first time after moving up from a Mars 3 so good to see you didn't need to tension it using a cap... one less thing to worry about!

Thank you for this tutorial-its very thorough. I just started 3D printing with the Saturn 4 Ultra and got my first hole in the PFA. Thankfully I took the advice of another channel and had a screen protector for the LCD and the leak was minor. After watching your video I feel much more confident to replace the liner. :)

@@ThatDudes3DPrints Just replaced it - took no time at all and was tight as a drum! Thank you again.

How did you buy the screen protector and which one was it? :D I'm at the point where I need to replace the pfa and recognized slight leaking at the edges. Now would be the perfect time to install a protector. :D

Great tip on the magnetic screw pan and also the tip about the resin residue! Breaking comments into multiple for your algorithm 😊I hope your channel gets the million subs!

Your videos are great! This looks annoying if we have to cut our own holes, but lucky-people-problems, so I’ll survive.

Switched to a bambu printer for the first time and made me feel like resin printers are stuck in the stone age in comparison with processes like these. Also the fep on these larger printers wants to tear more easily. Quite a few people complaining about holes and resin leaking after just a few prints for the saturn.

mai successo in 1 anno di utilizzo sulla saturn 3

Yeah I can agree with you but resin printer have not been as popular as FDM so they have had more people giving feed back and there likes and dislikes but seems like now resin printers are also starting to novate a little!

This is what I hate the MOST about 3D printing, the MILLION screws you have to take out and replace to change the FEP. It's ridiculous, so much technology why can't Elegoo find a better way to do it :(
@ThatDudes3DPrintsАй бұрын
I agree and hopefully eventually they will as technology gets better!

Do you change your FEP with the 4 ultra says you have reach the FEP limit?
@ThatDudes3DPrints14 күн бұрын
I do only because I am still learning this machine however I have seen some people who go past the recommended time and are fine
@brianstanhope765615 күн бұрын
some sites tell me that it matters what direction the FEP is installed. does it matter if the side with blue film originally or clear protective film originally is "up" , Ie the side that the resin will rest on? thanks!
@ThatDudes3DPrints14 күн бұрын
Great question! I might have to do some digging as I too am a bit new to this but I have just put it on randomly and haven't really had any issues or loss in quality

@@ThatDudes3DPrints Thanks so much, I am nrew to resin printing as well. Have been doing filament printing for a few years. I am having a lot of issues with the resin printer sticking to the PFA and then tearing it when i try to remove. Am sure I am doing something wrong.... but changing the film every print is getting to be a downer... Thanks again for the answer.

Do we not need to use a tensioner for PFA? I just replaced mine without a tensioner and the first print did the bottom layers and then failed from the middle out.
@ThatDudes3DPrints14 күн бұрын
I haven't had any issues the way that I do it but if you feel more comfortable doing it another way by all means. I am just showing you what I do.

Ive seen other FEP sheets using soda bottle cap for stretching, how important is this?
@ThatDudes3DPrintsАй бұрын
So I know that other printers out there might have you do the stretching of the sheet and can be a bit of a pain I would recommend watching a video on your printer to get a better idea. Getting a perfect stretch is crucial to ensure no leaking happens and that your FEP lasts and functions best.

do you think is can print dental models?
@ThatDudes3DPrintsАй бұрын
Yes should be able to you might just need special resin for that particular thing!
@therealjonaswp602Ай бұрын
Is it normal for the screws to become loose, after you already tightened them twice? I could keep going in circles indefinately. 😂
@ThatDudes3DPrintsАй бұрын
🤣 i feel you! No once they are down tight should be good. Unless your like me who forgets to tighten some all the way down lol

@@ThatDudes3DPrints indeed! Worst thing is: two days after I changed the fep due to dents - I got some NEW dents and now I have to change it AGAIN 😂 Btw, where did you buy those screwdrivers that you use?

in my experience toilet paper doesn't scratch the fep like shop towels do.
