The Senns Pt.6 - "I'm Looking Up"

I came to the Lord in DeLand, Fl on October 29, 1980, just two weeks after my fifteenth birthday. At the time I was listening to all the Classic Rock" tunes of the day. I had no interest in country sounding music because that wasn't "cool". But the church I got saved in knew nothing of "Christian Rock" music. They sang out of that old red back hymnal and the only LP's and tapes anybody had to listen to were Southern Gospel.
It's amazing how the new birth can change your taste in music! I soon found myself buying the music of groups such as the Hinsons, The Hemphills, Heaven Bound and others.
One night in 1981 I visited a church called McGlonn Pentecostal Holiness Church which was 30 minutes up U.S. 17 from us in Seville. Someone had told us about a fantastic southern gospel group called "The Senns". This group had a unique combination of traditional Southern Gospel mixed with a little Blue Grass.
The Lord moved that night in a mighty way and I was hooked on the Senns!! A year later they came to the same church and it was that night I bought their LP "Nationwide". I've been listening to these great songs for thirty years and have never grown weary of them!! Oh, I must admit that I also like to listen to Petra once in awhile, but nothing blesses me like these good old Southern Gospel songs. I hope they bless you as they have blessed me. Thank you Senn family for impacting a young fifteen year old convert many years ago. You left an impression on me that I will never forget.
