Visited in September. What makes this park so wonderful is the priority of making people have a magical day, rather than making money. There’s no fast track and the food is not only the best food i’ve ever had in a theme park, it’s CHEAP. I paid £2 for an ice cream. I can’t buy an ice cream for £2 from a local van! Merch is reasonable too and not shoved in your face - most rides don’t even have a shop.

Actually there is a service for souvenirs. They bring it to the entrance for you (or to the hotel), so you don't have to carry it all day ! That service is free of charge @@ThemeParkWorldwide

It’s exactly like you said, nostalgia for me from when I was younger. Every time I see the dancing water lelies in real time or on a screen it remembers me of my mom, whom past away a few years ago, telling me about the story and it was a fairytale written by our Belgian queen at that moment queen Fabiola. My mom loved the fairytale forest, went there when she was young , took us when we were young, I kept going at least every few years an now I take my son to the wonderful world of the Efteling. For me with every new edition and every change or rebuild in the park, it is growing more and more into how it should be. What they do is always spot on who they are. Can’t wait for their next big project and to see them growing in big and smal places all over the park. It is absolutely my favourite park from since I was a toddler. So thanks for the vlogs the past few days and bringing up some great memories. You guys are really the greatest in what you do.

If you're going by train, get a train to Breda, there's shuttle buses from there to the park in Kaatsheuvel. It's an easy station to get to from either Brussels or Amsterdam, both roughly 1,5 hours away. I'd recommend a three day visit and a stay on site in one of their hotels/holiday parks (I think Bosrijk is the nicest one), it really adds to the experience, and the park is way too big to take it all in in one day.

Gutted that I didn't see you guys at the park on Thursday, but I had to get that opening day ride in at Danse Macabre (and go to work right after). I was one of many in that huge cue line. 'Only' waited about 2.5 hours though. Not bad at all. And totally worth it. I went to the sneak preview event on October 26th and they improved the ride a lot after that. Can't wait to have many more rides on it.

Yes, het Lurk en Limoen huys has a lovely new scene and animatronic. In my opinion the indoor scènes at Laaf are the most underrated and often missen gems of the park. Especially since the story of the people of Laaf was an original creation by then head designer Ton van der Ven. Also the new landscaping around sleeping beauty castle has really changed the vibe and refreshed the whole area.
