The "fountain" with the fish is actually a wishing well... the money collected from the bottom is donated to "save the children".

40:50 that is Villa Pardoes. Accomodation for families with disabled children. They get 5 days of entertainment and fun programming and that also means 5 days of free efteling visits. My family went there for my sister back in 2015.

Let's try and do this... "De Oude Tufferbaan" "De" as in "Demand". We'll break up the next word into "Ou" as the "o" in "tower" and "de" the same as before. "Tufferbaan" I am not gonna lie this one was harder to explain, "Tu" like the "te" in "interresting" where the "e" is more of an "uhh" sound, "ffer" is the same as "fur" (may sound a bit more like American English) even though the first "f"is technically part of the "Tu" sound most people will probably not hear the difference, "baan" I can not for the life of me find a word in English that has the same sound in it, you pronounce it quite well (sound a bit more German than Dutch) all I can say is the "aa" sound of it happens more in the back of the mouth in stead of in front, I have no idea if that helps at all. You guys do really well with "Joris en de Draak" its just a matter of rolling your "r"s a bit more, that goes for most pronunciations in Dutch. As long as you roll your "r" and make the "g" sound like you staring up an old car in the winter you'll be perfect.

tuffer is pronounced like the english ''tougher''
@HippoCookie3 күн бұрын
@@BrentMeirmans I thought that at first as well, but we pronounce our "T" pretty harsh compared to "tougher". Then again typing things out for people to understand is not easy in any way shape or form.

@@BrentMeirmansI don't agree with that. Tougher sounds more like toffer, not tuffer.
