Great video, I love the Efteling and I love watching other people's videos of it :D 11:47 Red Riding Hood is in the Brothers Grimm book, but there's also a version in the older book of Mother Goose Fairytales. I am reading the Brothers Grimm book Children's and Household Tales right now, not the modernised versions but the original fairytales. You have no idea how dark and cruel they sometimes get!

Thanks! ☺️ yes, they can be very dark, as they needed to impart lessons!

The story of Donkey raise your tail 21:55 is the story that belongs to this house. 23:06 Here you will also see the magical table where the food appears 23:31 and the magical club that moves when you walk inside. 23:17 At the exit of this fairy tale you will also see the innkeeper who stole the donkey, the club, and the table. the story you tell here 23:38 belongs to another fairy tale called Wee Walter Messenger which can be found next to MotherHolle's house, which you can just see here at the far left of the video. 21:40

Just like the fairy tale The Gardener and the Fakir, 33:50 this is also a self-written Efteling fairy tale that has even had two different versions over the years.

I really enjoy watching your Efteling videos. how you and the children enjoy the Efteling and the appreciation you have for the Efteling and Dutch culture in general is fantastic to see. Many people compare everything with Disney and they find everything that is different strange and stupid because they don't understand culture. I also saw that you missed a few fairy tales. That's not your fault because Efteling can hide them well haha. The fairy tales you missed are: Cinderella, The Magic Clock, The Chinese Nightingale and Wee Walter Messenger. I look forward to seeing new Efteling videos from you in the future!

@disneyanddaysout8 күн бұрын
Oh yes, they are the originals which are a lot darker than people are used to. Fairytales were used to teach lessons in the past, so needed to be this way. Thank you ☺️

Just for future reference: the Dutch double O is pronounced like in boat, not boot. The 'oe' in Dutch sounds like 'boot'. So, Stroapwáhfel, Droamvlucht (I won't be trying to get you to pronounce the 'ch' or the 'u' properly 😂) and.... Sproakje (Fairytale)

Hi, I watched all your Efteling vlogs cuz I'm a big Efteling fan as well and live in the Netherlands. And I love your vlogs! Just wanted to let you know the whole end of the story about the Wolf and the 7 children because you all seem a bit upset about it.. and I get it, it's a sad story.. BUT mom goat later on finds the wolf after she found the little goat in the clock. The wolf was asleep so she cut the wolfs belly, got the children out, put heavy rocks in the wolf belly and sewed him back up. Later on he falls in the water because he was so thirsty and had a full belly of goat/rocks(he thought) and he was never seen again.. so after all a happy ending for mom and the children 😊❤. Hope that makes you guys feel a bit better about this story. Still a bit grimm but a good ending and a little lesson for children to learn to not open the door for strangers. Again, love your vlogs!!

@@disneyanddaysout Yes, queen Fabiola loved children and wrote bedside stories and fairytales for the children she wanted to have. Unfortunately she never had any. So she declared all children of the country her children. Efteling asked if they could use one of her stories for an attraction.
