EG4 Chargeverter And Generator Problems

I would recommend a generator with at least 6,000 Watts continuous running capacity for this. I run two of these chargeverters at full power with and Military generator with a diesel engine.

The Chargeverter brings the Voltage down to 48v in order to charge even if the generator is large or small the voltage gets decreased in order to charge without breaking the inverter

Try a newer shorter thicker cord between generator and chargeverter.

Get a Champion Dual Fuel Generator and then run it off of Propane. Then you will not have to deal with clogged dirty carbs from crappy ethanol fuel. Or trying to source ethanol free fuel or adding stabilizer.

take the bowl off the carb and stick a small wire up the main jet.

Thats exact ly what i did… then cleaned it all good with a whole can of carb cleaner

I think you need a generator that can do at least 3000 watts.

We have a large generator that we do use sometimes, havent needed it since we added more batteries

IF the math is right then at 20 amps the Generator is working at 1060 watts. With a high of 1700 watts you should be able to get a max of 32 Amps to the battery. Not ideal but good in a pinch. I have a similar set up but with a different charger and 12V batteries. See the video what happens when the sun doesn't shine.
