@@timberandtools Good lord yes! People have to be careful about ANY kind of pipe or even a muffler mod done at home…you HAVE to have an adjustable carb (or automatically tuned carb that will handle it) in order to not go lean up high. Some carbs pull fuel better than others, it all depends and they need a person capable of getting the correct mixture back.

I must have missed the ability to purchase this muffler for Stihl saws. can you please help us know if this company will make these mufflers for us to purchase. Great positive info for guys out in the field.

@@JeffreySimundson Hey Jeff…it’s a ProLine carb from Sawzilla on eBay. Description is “adjustable carb for 017,018,170,180”. Stihl should be spanked with a rolled up newspaper for doing that to us. The 170 is an INCREDIBLE saw, and then to hang us with that turd non-adjustable carb?? 🤬 Someone should’ve lost their job for that.

@wizardsofwisconsin7400 oh boy I've had the same harsh view on Stihl for it; for years! Thankful for you sharing the carb! I have built 2 with Amazon ms250 carb and intakes now. Like that setup but fear the quality of the Amazon diaphragms and the aircleaner pops off when warm ..

@@JeffreySimundson I saw that the 250 carb seems to be what everyone was doing but it seemed like there was quite a bit of messing around with rerouting the impulse channel or something? I forget…but the issue to me with the 250 carb is that the Venturi must be meant to flow differently being a 45cc saw compared to the 30cc 170 and I didn’t want to get that far out of bounds. Bigger carbs don’t necessarily mean better performance as you know but if you did 2 of them it means the first one must’ve worked fine? I’ll make a video not this weekend but right after Xmas with this one, it’s ridiculous.
