Definitely a fly that will entice the bigger dudes in a river. I tie a weighted woolly bugger jig pretty similar to your pattern and had all 3 above average fish slam it. What’s cool about your pattern is it gets down quickly and it will be in the target zone quicker and longer needing extra weight added like splitshot . I caught 2 just on the drift and the third was at the tailout and where I added a slight slow stripping action to fly and that fish devoured it on one of those slow strips and it was the biggest of the three ,well over 20”’s.
