The babies that spent the whole time just trying to climb out remind me of my most recent hen I put up in my uncle's pigeon & chicken coop, got her during the start of winter last year from a neighbor so she was raised alone. But when I put her in the coop with everyone else, she jumped and climbed up (my uncle has a ladder leaned up next to the pigeon box he hung up to check for eggs) to sit with the pigeons instead of being down with the chickens

These creatures have some kind of special blessing from the Lord. Many often have lifespans that exceed humans. They're docile and not vicious almost like a monk. Imagine walking up to this fence and a sign is torn saying “Beware the”, you assume dog, but the black lab is all smiles. You tell it, “Hi, buddy” and then there’s a stirring from the little shed and out from the black strips come tortoises. Wave after wave. More then you think could possibly fit the shed. Overwhelming the fence in their advance, you run realizing your mistake reading the sign, it was never for the dog.
