I use the 3.5 lb running egg weights (1.75 lbs each hand). It helps keep blood flowing in my arms and helps elevate my heart rate. I bought mine a few years ago for $50, but now they want $90 + shipping. The prices are out of control.

Cool review. Been on the fence about these. Stay boxing for cardio, but more a heavy bag guy. If I got into shadow boxing routines they'd be definite purchase. What's your opinion on these vs weighted gloves, if you've tried them? We've got the same boxing coach, except you're supposed to dial it up a notch by adding 2 hooks after every combo call!

Yes! The heavier ones are a bit more cumbersome but those can be done with weights as well
