And you could say these four wins are more impressive since the 1949 All Blacks were not the full All Blacks team. South Africa would not allow Māori players in the touring side. Another interesting piece of history from 1949 was the All Blacks losing 2 test matches on the same day! On 3 September 1949 they lost 9-3 to the Boks in Johannesburg 12 hours after another All Blacks side lost 11-6 to Australia ... Maybe they were stretched a bit thin?

Not a lot of people understand this, but Damian de Allende is probably the best midfielder that the world have seen in the professional era. His Man of the Match performance is a tribute to his domination of the midfield over the last decade. I feel like ABs are tracking ok but it's been a baptism of fire for Razor and crew, the NZ public will be merciless as usual, I just hope people understand this is a truly special Bok team in the way they have such resolve to win games that are tight. Tim, you're very right, we haven't got a 23 man team at the moment, that's the challenge but I believe we have the talent and really hope to see Proctor and Love against the Aussies. Peter Lakai has to come into the mix. Again, well done SA, we'll be back though.

You are asking the wrong question, Tim. When you watch the game again, look for the moment when SA played attacking rugby at Irish pace. Each game we put in place another tiny bit of the attack structure. In this process of change it's inevitable that some area's will drop off whilst we master it. When it clicks, this team is going to put someone away with a cricket score.

Our defense is so solid that even when we’re not hyper focused on it we’re covered. People complaining about it, but today even when they got around the rush they were chased down. I think we’re going balls to the wall on attack at the moment and giving up the breakdown to focus on other things. But even then they never scored a try. I’m gonna go ahead and say it, I don’t think Tony Brown is the best person to unlock boks strengths in attack. I hope Rassie is giving him some leeway to experiment and then Rassie will come in and tweak it for us. We’re a little confused at the breakdown at the moment, unsure when to pop the ball up and when to place, cleaners coming in hot to pick up the ball get the ball popped into their chests. There’s just a lot going on at the moment and we need to pare it down a bit and focus.

The craziest, and scariest as an england fan, part of this is that the SA lineout in the first half was terrible, so many handling errors, backline not 100% clicking, many injuries still at lock and 9 and attack overall wasnt quite there BUT they still just beat the 2nd best team in the world 😂😅 So much room to improve still. The way the Boks played today was essentially a practice run. The Boks of the past were stuck in a one dimensional game plan with no Plan B. I think Rassie is working on Plans B, C and D , especially given the young talent that's coming through. @@PB22559 You know what you come across as? Someone who so desperately wants to feel seen and relevant. Ireland are amazing atm yes, but all sports are defined by how many world cups or major trophies they've won. As it stands, nobody comes even close to us in that department. What this Springboks team has accomplished is legacy defining, imprinted on the sport forever, people will be watching their world cup wins for decades, same as the Ab's who are also forever etched into the history of the sport. Ireland just have nothing. So you beat us way more than we've beaten you recently. Nobody is talking about you or cares because you've never been a champion or come close. The springboks don't have to draw attention to themselves like you've had to do here because the whole world is taking notice of their championship qualities. Ireland has done it all, 6 nations back to back, club trophies and yet you can't get anyone to talk about it or pay attention, I'm gonna repeat it one last time... This is totally a reverse of previous years where we took the penalties and they played for the tries. Having Sachsa kicking for touch instead of an easy three points , twice now, just shows the mentality of this team. Not scared of the all blacks anymore and we replaced them at the top of rugby folklore where we belong...the mentality of invincibility. We will make it three in a row come 2027.....this team refuses to lose refuses to back down refuses to go down refuses that any other team is better than them. Respect!

@@jameswaterhouse-brown6646 yeah sure, you conveniently ignore that the Boks' world best locks, plus their second best three, are all out injured, and Rassie beat you while selecting various newbies for blooding. That's just the selection factor. Add in that the Boks have just beaten you in RSA, back to back playing badly, you'd better be very afraid when they click . They're 20 points better than this AB team every day of the week.

Don’t underestimate how much work is required to produce a 1st class running game. When you strengthen one area you often weaken another. Some of the larger SA forwards will not keep up without trimming down a little which in turn will weaken their forward dominance.

I cannot praise the never say die attitude of the Boks enough. Lots of mistakes for the Boks to fix. Think the most impressive thing is the boks stuck to their game plan of running the ball. It would have been easy to go back to what they know but have decided on taking on a new style and that takes time, hence the running getting isolated and conceding penalties. They will have to look at that but massive thank you to Tony Brown. My kiwi mates are a little stunned he is with us and not in their set up. All great sides or great players have to keep learning. And taking on new skills to advance their game to keep ahead of the others and that's why yesterday ,even with all our mistakes ,could be a big game in the context of what the boks are trying to evolve into. We kept at the new way, against the AB's, and won . We will lose as we learn but the more we gain confidence and learn how not to concede penalties, the better the side will be .....what a time to be alive as a book fan
