Seeing how fantastic Eggland island is a part of me is convinced that the Oda who wrote Wano was a Skrull or something because it’s night and day how much better this arc is. Connecting pieces from pre time skip and adding some great context to Kuma and giving a lot of depth to him and Bonney. If this arc manages to stick the landing this will easily be my new favorite arc post time skip and a great way to showcase that the final saga of OP means business.

I hope you're being sarcastic about dragon. He and Kuma are two sides of the same coin. Both care about their child but while Kuma chose his child which ended up putting her and himself in danger because of that Dragon Chose the greater good of Global Revolution over his son. Not to mention if Dragon was there for Luffy the World Government could easily exploit that weakness and jeopardize the Revolutionary Army

I don't honestly have much to say on this chapter review. I just hope that, after getting smashed in the face by Bonney, Alpha now has to wear one of those stupid-looking studded-leather face-casts. She's evil enough to warrant the Spandam comparison/reference, I feel.

Well if this is the final chapter of the year, then I will say that this year has been Top Tier. We may not have gotten any Carrot throughout the entire Year of the Rabbit (other than Volume 105 Cover), but Egghead and Kuma/Bonny's Backstory being so good makes up for it in spades. It's like I've said. If Carrot has joined at the end of Wano, and then all the Egghead Stuff happened, then her inclusion would have been overshadowed and ignored by a majority of people. Like Pedro said; we have to be patient. So let's keep faith in Oda, and look forward to what awaits us in 2024!

Careful, Kana. Everyone said Wano was the best arc during the Oden backstory, then Act 3 happened and Oda started making every mistake in the book. Don't count chickens yet. Wait until Egghead finishes.

Anyway, here's some more copium: My mind is off in space at the moment, but I kinda wonder if the Mokomo Dukedom holds another secret. Of course, we already know about Zunesha having a history with "Joy Boy". We also know about their Road Poneglyph. So, what I'm positing, is that there could be a special form of training only rulers are made privy to. Furthermore, what if they are the only ones that are allowed to eat Devil Fruit? How many Mink use such powers? None that live on the island itself, I don't think. But I could always be misremembering. The way I see it, there are probably a *fuck ton* of unclaimed devil fruits laying dormant on the ocean floor. Fruits which Zunesha sucked up along with the water for their baths. And this elephant has been roaming the sea for *centuries* now. Therefore, I suspect there's a large caché of devil fruit, somewhere on Zou. And, after having to be saved from Perospero by Nekomamushi, I feel Carrot probably would've confided her feelings of insecurity and powerlessness in him. Which is why she was made Queen. Not because Neko thinks she's ready for the job, but because he knows only rulers get free access to the devil fruit. Which makes sense, because most Mink wouldn't have a purpose for them. And it's safer if fewer people have access. Less Mink will drown this way. *EDIT:* Also, think about it like this. Carrot, a wayward monarch, was chosen by Pedro to be the vessel of his will. But Pedro's dream is also the dream of the Mink. So how can one plucky bunny girl possibly carry such a burden all on her own? I think that, once Carrot takes a devil fruit, it will be in exchange for a promise. That she'll one day return to guide the Mink onto the coming of the 'New Dawn'. But, until that time comes, her fellow Mink will be there with her. In spirit, I mean. Because they were the ones who gathered the fruit from the rivers and streams. They helped to cultivate the collection, and kept it safe from any would-be plunderers. It would be highly symbolic, and it feels appropriate for Carrot's story if Oda decides to go in that direction with her.

Just real quick. Some people may not understand why the Mink would hoard devil fruit they're not eating, so let me help with a reference. In Fallout, The Brotherhood Of Steel confiscate, steal, and scavenge any and all technology more advanced than a 10mm pistol. This is a huge part of their doctrine, as they believe the average person is too ignorant/barbarous to be trusted with such weapons. That was how the apocalypse happened, and they don't want to see history repeat itself. Also, it's just a matter of survival. They'd rather see these weapons rust in their captivity, than have one pointed in their face by some random wasteland junkie.

I realize some people will argue that the secret devil fruit caché doesn't make sense, considering what happened on Zou. You have to remember, that Jack was the only one who stood a chance against the two dukes. And most pirates aren't on that level. Had the Mink been given a month's warning in advance, I'm sure they would've eaten/trained with the fruit. But, in the midst of an ongoing melee, they wouldn't have had the time to even identify what they're shoving into their mouths. Let alone learn how to use whatever powers they end up with, so that they don't accidentally injure their comrades in the heat of battle. Most people don't know what to do with their devil fruit power. Not at first, anyway. Sure, they learn the name and abilities of the fruit, but not everyone can take to it like Sabo when he got his hands on the Mera Mera No Mi. Luffy trained for several years before heading out to sea. So, I'm thinking it will probably take Carrot at least a month of training with her fruit before she's any good in a fight with it.
