I have lived here all my life and I have never heard about the machine gun. I used to play on the pound as a child when the post office was behind it and also in the hall ruins. Anyone that knows this village will have almost certainly known my parents - Gill and Mike Stephenson - they lived here 60 years. I have to sadly inform you that they both passed away in May 24. They truly loved this place.

Love Egginton. Lots of my mothers family lived there from about 1800, for many years working and living in Egginton Hall. Many are in St. Wilfred's churchyard now. My great grandparents had 19 children and lived in a small estate cottage.

Shame the crinkle crankle wall didn't seem to be captured, Andy, or did I miss it? Never actually seen one, they are supposed to need less bricks than a conventional one, I understand.

I saw the wall, but didn't realise what it actually was until I'd got home. Thought it was just literally just a wall and there was nothing really to be gained from including it

My mother's family came from here from 1800. Lots in graveyard.
