This is seriously amazing. Followed to the letter except used one cayenne from my garden. This is one of the best dishes I have ever cooked or eaten. Thank you!

Hi, me again! Where do you purchase whole frozen okra from? We only get chopped up ones in Tesco!
@imran.familykitchen2 жыл бұрын
Hi 👋 You can try another supermarket, I know Sainsbury does them. Otherwise Turkish or Asian shops might stock them too. You can also use the frozen chopped ones if you can't find whole okra. Hope that helps - we know you will love this recipe 😋

Hey Don - trust all is well - I too, am from Tanzania; Moshi to be exact. Your recipes are amazing - brought back a lot of precious memories. One slight error on your ingredients on this recipe - Kashmiri Chilli Powder ( the Chilli must have autocorrected to Child). Many thanks - much appreciated
@imran.familykitchen2 жыл бұрын
Hey brother, that's so nice to hear you're also from Tanzania! My mother always speaks fondly of Moshi and how beautiful it is. We're so glad you're enjoying our recipes. Have you seen our East African recipes playlist? Thank you for pointing out the error in autocorrect, we have now made the correction. Have a great day!

Very nice, looks delicious but why did you not remove the top part of the Okras?
@imran.familykitchen2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! We used the frozen baby okra which are really small and tender so you can cook them whole. 😊

Very nice recipe to try with the addition of bhindi to the potatoes and aubergines but if you cut fresh bhindi you have to be careful it doesn’t become too gooey with its glutinous juice! Also the tempering here is quite unusual for standard Indian curries, well done imran and family!
@imran.familykitchen2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. Yes, you are right, if okra isn't cooked correctly it gets slimy - but definitely there is no slime when cooked this way and we love it! Similarly we only eat eggplant when cooked using specific methods otherwise it's just not the same. I'm sure anyone who tries this recipe will really enjoy the amazing flavours - we have this almost once a week since we love it so much!
