okay so quick story as a female val player; most of the time i solo q and im diamond2 currently, not gonna lie i dont get a lot of toxic teammates but teammates who think female players are the shittiest this one time i hop on a game (solo obv) and i say hi back to this jett and he immediately asks me “can u aim cuz if not imma dodge” and i replied “we are in the same f_ing rank bruh” and he didnt say anything back just asked me for skins every other round and guess what he was dogwater last round i had to go 1v4 with very little hp i shot 2 and he started apologizing nonstop. i just told him dont ever dodge a game because of a girl when you are literally nowhere near me he simply apologized till the screen disappeared and its one of the happiest moments in my life lol

11:12 I actually had the same happening to me, although instead of getting insulted a lot, the group of 4 lady friends started asking private things or being pushy, "so you are a boyyyyy ?" - "do you have guuuurlfrieeeend ?" - "are you handsoooome ?". And honestly I felt pretty bad, like I can slightly have a better idea now of what it must be for female players to be harassed or annoyed by stupid and bullying people (mostly males obviously) in the vocal chat when detecting your voice tone and assuming your gender. All in all it was some of it was funny because it never happened, but it becomes boring really quick and I can imagine how frustrating and hurting it must be have they have to deal with that every and each game.

One time I was going through some shit, and was having a really bad day, so I tried to calm down by playing Valorant. I wasn't doing great becuase I was stiill a bit upset, but was trying my best. Then one of my teammates kept yelling at me, and since I had mentioned the pride flag banners kept calling me an F slur (Which I get enough at school). I was bottom fragging he insisted on telling me that I was the worst player he had ever seen, feeling high and mighty with exactly 1 more kill than me at all times. The map we were on was Fractured, and for me I attack way better of Fractured, so by the end of the game even though we did lose I hit top frag, in spite of this kids insesint barrading demands for me to kill myself (I have had trouble with suicidal thoughts before so I really hate how casually people can say that.) and that I was a useless F* that wouold die alone of aids. The sad part of this. I top fragged, he bottom fragged and the team laughed and left. Nothing happened, he'll go on to another team, and maybe next time he'll actually convince someone. While it's nice to see these people lose, we forget that nothing changes. A kid will still be hurt, a kid who learened from their parents that it's ok to relese your anger on others will continue to be abused, and in return abuse others. That we joke about this stuff like it's nothing, but there are larger rooted issues in this.

Imo the reason people suddenly get toxic probably cause in the first place they're too scared/lazy to comm. And then when teammate makes 'a mistake' which they realize, they assumed it to be a common sense to learn from it (failed to understand some things just aren't that obvious to some people) = from their perspective the teammate doesn't have common sense. All they have to do is just comm at that point. But then they keep quiet for rounds until the 'repressed' feelings of how-dumb-you-are eventually burst, resulting in them being toxic/can't chill.

However, most of the times I play I just wait to see if the team is nice and I only start talking in vc if they are aand it happens for them to become toxic only towards me after they hear I'm a girl. Imma explain my situation first quickly before going into this. I'm a woman, I don't speak tho and my tag (same as my name here) aswell as my agents (omen, chamber and cypher) don't really hint at me being a woman either. People ingame 100% of the time assume I'm a dude unless I do talk. So I get "both experiences of toxic behavior". This goes for other games aswell. Now to my point. The toxicity men mostly get in this game is just shit talk, being called bad, dogshit etc up to "hope you get cancer" or "kys". Of course there is situations that go beyond that, but they're not as common. While the toxicity women get is straight up sexism, we get attacked simply for our existence. It goes from "go to the kitchen" to full on someone telling you in detail how they'd rape you. Dodging just because of our gender. Etc. And "simps" are just as bad and creepy. Of course no toxicity is ever ok, and I'm not trying to say "men don't have it as worse so they should just suck it up" or some shit, but what is happening to women in gaming really is beyond dumb shit talk, it's not ok. And yes, there are toxic af women too, and I don't condone that either. Toxicity is terrible and shouldn't exist in any way shape or form. It does nothing but hurt people. No one should experience it, no matter gender, age, whatever. We gotta realize tho that some do in fact get hit worse than others, that being women, lgbt and people with any kind if ingame visible disability. Doesn't mean we should only care about their experience. But if they speak up about the problem, we shouldn't undermine it with "guys get toxicity too" or "I play with girls, we don't experience this". And also, different people deal different with toxicity, some are hurt more easily than others, regardless of gender. Telling them to "toughen" up isn't it either. (Not trying to imply you do that, just talking about these things in general) In short, what I'm trying to say Some people deal with more toxicity then others, and if they speak up about we shouldn't tell them to deal with it cause we get hate too or cause we haven't seen it happen, don't play down others experiences. We should instead all get together and recognize toxicity is a overall problem. Being realistic, that's never gonna happen tho. Cause there's far too many people out there that enjoy toxicity. So unless game developers finally get up and actually implement stricter rules and enforce them better, nothings ever gonna change. They'd never do that tho, as it loses them players and thus money.

Was tolerating for a while but lost control and called them out ,spoke back and stopped playing (yesterday) coz some bakas (i can handle 1 toxic idiot not 3)asked me to quit valo and die. And I got banned for chat and int afk (7 days). The pain of those who can't make friends or have friends to play with is horrible man and my pc doesn't support any other game , or i would be off to apex or fort.

I can do a "loli" voice of sorts, so when people are toxic, I just say in that voice "Awww... someone's a lil mad!" or something on the lines of that and act like they're an infant. Works 95% of the time

The main people for being toxic i have found is the spanish and french honestly ive never played with one who isnt sexist, racist and just toxic. Always makes me laugh that theh generally bottom frag and just over all suck so maybe there toxic behaviour is there way of compensating for that! I love the mute button as they then get angry your ignoring them. But honestly the American servers can be just as toxic at times. I think over all its not about the server but the people in the game

when people can't shoot in game they become toxic to other to make themselves feel good.. I had this one player once., who was playing with jett and I was sage.. I literally had double kill and just 1 more death. we were about 6 game down in ice box defense and I dint hear him asking for heal. he started cursing and call all kind of s***. I dint say anything for like next 2-3 rounds but then I said shut up and all other team mates started cursing as well because 4 of them were playing together. after Like 10 rounds I told jett that your behaviors tells you are unwanted child and probably adopted and that's why parents love your siblings more than you. (i know i should have not say that but hey i did not start)dude sounded like he was crying. at the end we were 12 12 and I deliberately dint plant spike coz I dint care about losing and those asshole were so mad and it's just felt good🤣

I'm relarively new to valorant and I had a game before where I was using sage. I admit that I still need alot of pracrice. But my teammates started assuming that I'm a woman because I was playing so bad. Even when i told them that I'm a guy. They're all hard pressed into believing that girl gamers are bad gamers.
