I'm watching this in 2023. These amps are underrated!

Probably the best amp review on KZbin. You've got all bases covered in the chops department. Awesome job.

Yeah, you definitely can. The cleans sound like Soldano cleans. They’re tight and punchy.

Dude, the tone of that strat, the amp and what you were playing was magical! Definitely had a Matchless clean tone going on with the strat. I hope egnater gets the power transformers problem straightened out on their amps. They sound too good for people to shy away from these amps due to bad transformers. The toroidal transformers are also used by Traynor amps in Canada. Theirs fail as well. That toroidal design is an old one. Noted for its tone and not it's reliability

The 40 intrigues me. The 88 is way more than I need. The 15 is probably what we need.
@wannabweiland13 жыл бұрын
Well, your demo was my deciding factor to pick up the 88 and not the 40. Can you tell me a little bit more about the Jack Deville Dark Echo. I'd love to know your settings for it. Thinkin' of picking one of those up, too. Very inspiring demo, man.

@dognmoon hey i cant thank you enough for all the egnater demos, they're great! i only ask for some demos of the tweaker 40? theres a complete lak of them and im aiming to get one real soon. thanks!

@dognmoon ok, it's just that I wanted to see how dirty could it get, I have the 15 watt version and pretty much never use the 'hot' mode 'cause it gets too muddy and fizzy, If I had to ask a question would be if this boost... it's a transparent gain boot or if it changes the tone of the amp like the 'hot' switch does. I'm really envious of your tele BTW

What sounds better, the Tweaker 88 or the Line 6 Dt-50? I'm trying to decide between the two.
@ronaldthebleijser9 жыл бұрын
rushrockscygnusx2112 tweaker no doubt gives way more room for what you like. as in clean or hot sound, tight or deep sound, bright normal switch, as well three eq voices usa ac brit, and you can set vintage vib or modern vibe for lead and rhythm and way more. line 6 dt 50 is just 2 channel every channel has 4 channels, and low master pull pot, with a/ab master switch, and triode pentode switch and thats it. a tweaker will give you more for the buck also better tubes to be honest. it is line dt 6 2x 12ax7 and 2x el34 brand EH and tweaker 88 3x 12ax7 2x kt88 own brand

@Kemilc13 жыл бұрын
Do you think it has a lot of clean headroom? like about 5/6 on the volume knob without distortion?
@danielvalladares353612 жыл бұрын
this distortion is very vesatile, it depends on the switches, but also you can open it turning de middle (mid) between 2o'clock and 8 o'clock as govan does, it also depends on the vintage/modern seting, and the setting or the eq which is USA, AC, BRITISH, the ,most of the video kind of british tone, but its also because of the single coils, hope this info helps you dude
@MarcG2810 жыл бұрын
great demo... one question though, I had the original Tweaker, the 15 watt model, and I found to sound best and really open up the amp the master needed to be up around 1 O'Clock which could be relatively loud... would you say the same thing about the Tweaker 88, or is the tone more consistent through out the master volumes range?

Awesome review ma, only thing I could recommend is a decent mic for recording your sound instead of the camera mic, but still the camera is picking it up quite well. Also maybe play a little louder so we cant hear your dry picking from the guitar if u know what I mean :p Thanks for the review !

Why does this amp stack look mini????? 88watt
@AssassinDude12 жыл бұрын
@asimgeekhan @skoolio2 The 88 has plenty of volume to gig with. By "nowhere near gig level", he was referring to the level of volume at which he had the amp set to in this demo video, so it has much more to offer. It should be really loud hooked up to a 4x12!! Definitely enough there to play over a drummer.

How do you like the Tweaker 2x12 cab compared to the TourMaster 2x12?
@warshavianconnection13 жыл бұрын
What's the time you're playing in the beginning? It sounds reminiscent of something but so can't quite place it. I mean, there's "I Promise You" (or whatever it's called) by 80's Chicago, but the melody is similar, not exact, and the rhythm is quite different.

Great review only a few questions left unanswered i was curios How well does it handle gain boosts from pedals, as in idk the Bigmuff pi or the marshal guvnor, and how would you judge it for its ability to handle modular pedals like the digitech whammy iv?
