I'm yet only halfway through the video. So happy to see someone not trying to show off the thing by opening it up. I can see your throttles are in eco mode or close to it and it's doing great. So many people like to open it up and throw the snow across the street just to make it look like it's impressive. Those of us deciding to get this unit or not, it gives us hope because we know we need to keep it lower to get the job done without running out of juice. For this reason alone this is a very valuable video. Thank you.... Good man.
@CraftsmanontheLake2 жыл бұрын
I finished the video. Amazing at those settings and you're doing a full bite. Most people with gas models just do half cuts. I think you should too but interesting that it handled a full load at that depth so well and at about 60% charge (3/5 lights) Thnx again.
@panNCR2 жыл бұрын
@@CraftsmanontheLake thanks for the comment. You're right, I had it in eco for the auger, and slowest drive speed. Yeah I normally would do 3/4 cuts just because of the overflow snow that usually falls to the side. But I was able to do a quick secondary cleanup pass to pick up all of that stuff before the batteries died
@egomaniac85102 жыл бұрын
Trust me it doesn't just look like it's impressive, it is!! I have 11 batteries so I don't understand why my using it in turbo and not worrying about battery life offends you. This machine works amazing in all settings but it is just pure fun in turbo. Each of us has to work the settings that is right for our situations. For some that is endurance at a sacrificed pace. Others are still tickled that this beast is battery powered and should not exist. But it does and it does not do so lightly. A snow Joe can lob snow 15 ft. So we like to show off the performance.
@panNCR2 жыл бұрын
@@egomaniac8510 I think it's mostly because like me, i don't have any other Ego products, so I only have the 2 batteries it came with. Since the batteries are so expensive, some people will not buy additional ones when getting this snowblower. I keep mine in Eco mode now so i don't have to recharge every time i do the driveway. Makes it better for charge cycles in the long run and should make the batteries last longer.

Thanks for sharing! I have an Ego Stage 1 blower and love it but am considering this beauty too. One tip to consider, after making your initial path from the house you could start basically where you were at about 2:20. That way the snow isn't covering paths you've already covered and you wont have to go back over it twice!

2nd season using the 2 stage one, its got lots of power but it falls short of battery time, and forget about using your other ego batteries unless there 7.5 or higher don't last for more than 3 minutes, this snow blower is a power hog!! Ego should include at least 2 10 amp batteries I think that's were it falls short. love the product, great power but it just don't last for me. I have a circular driveway on anything more than 6 inches or higher I have to charge it 3 times to get it done, not acceptable.
