I use my ps1001 weekly with my landscape company and it performs great. If you get one, keep in mind that it's only a pole saw and not a multi-head attachment like the other EGO products.

Hello. Thank you for taking time to make this informative video about the new Ego Telescoping Pole Saw. I am thinking about purchasing one. Did the oil leak down from the pole saw if you stored it vertically? Just curious if that happened to you. I had that happen with others that I have purchased in the past and that drives me crazy! I appreciate your video!

What type of oil is recommended for the chain? Any kind of bar chain? Thanks.

I've just used regular bar oil, same as what I use with my Ego CS1801 chainsaw. It seems to work well.

Do they make it with a better than 2.5 battery?

You can pair it with any EGO battery, 4.0, 10.0 or even the massive 12.0 ah batteries. As a kit though, I think they are only pairing with 2.5ah battery right now.

It’s been terrible for me. It’s very right handed, and I use both hands. The trigger just sucks and the forward handle is asymmetrical for no good reason. The chain tensioner seems to have failed after using it for three battery charges. It pukes chain oil way too quickly. The telescoping clamp is way too loose and hard to keep tight. The balance is way awkward with the trigger handle on the battery.

Hmm, that's interesting. I'm a left handed guy and I didn't notice it being overly right handed in design and use.

90% of the time; I overfill the oil tank; on ANY chainsaw!

Truth! I always think I can get a little bit more in there. Then especially when I go to screw the cap back on, it squeezes a good bit out. I haven't learned yet.
