Imprssive power handling of the PCB but keep in mind temps will escalate with the board in an enclosed housing. Is there any ventillation in the complete assembly?
@user-cx2bk6pm2f2 жыл бұрын
200 A in a PCB is impressive.. even to engineers who do this for a living. There may be a kilogram of copper just in the PCB itself. Those connectors handling the current are clearly high spec as well.

Very informative! this is also telling me that you're hampered by amperage could it operate as well at 24V and then covert to a24V auxillary system rather? with inline buck converters at 12v appliances

Does that mean an inverter cannot run through the hub ?
@veneratedmortal43692 жыл бұрын
I think it's limited to 50amps. At 12v that's 600w. So a 300w inveter would run. Maybe a 1000w 24v inverter if you set up for that.

It's not how much it cost to build and how much he's making!! I'm building a car and soon will need some electric chargers and secondary batteries and I been seriously looking into it it is bloody costy as you guys saying 750 is too much How about 5 to 7k just for a set up, the only different I can see is the fancy screens and sexy flashing lights while this basic looking hub can comfortably feed a higher amp needed appliances when the more expensive systems will shut down I see it reasonable and might order one. That's my personal opinion and each to his own

what are you basing 12 volt, 24 volt or 48-96 VDC to 240vac
@steveallen13402 жыл бұрын
They had a variable load of up to 4,000 watts connected, meaning they wouldn’t get to 200 amps at 24 volts or above. Must be using 12 volts.
@user-cx2bk6pm2f2 жыл бұрын
@@steveallen1340 Without knowing how the AC to DC conversion is done, current draw on the DC side may not be linear with the AC side. Stepper converters will have a different power budget on each side.
@steveallen13402 жыл бұрын
@@user-cx2bk6pm2f I agree, if the inverter is running at less than 80% efficiency it is possible for a 4000 watt 100% resistive AC load to draw 200amps on the DC side at 24volts, but I considered this an unlikely scenario. I believe those enerdrive inverters would be much more efficient than 80%
@jasonhowe16972 жыл бұрын
@@steveallen1340 I was asking what the type of battery seryup they were using vs the dc because to provide a proper AC load you have to either do it in series or parallel at a min of 24 VDC IF NOT HIGHER.. TO OFF LOAD THE MAIN VOLTAGE.. 12 vdc isn't really designed to cater for 200 amps.. the paint stripper most likely had a rating of 2500 watts variable it isn't surprising to see the protection on the inverters kick in at 2000 watts you have a buck performance of 2000 watts with constant load to this day I have yet to see andrew do a complete ac voltage calcs and a dc current draw to see that everything in his setup run perfect vs tripping breakers every 5 minutes with an average of 1500-2500 per 240VAC device I would be concerned that the converter/inverter being used might not be a suitable option to begin with ..

Testing over current and letting out smoke sure is fun but kind of pointless. Testing electronics in the automotive industry has a very strict procedure. You need to pass CV, DV and PV. This product will surly not pass the EMC and the vibration tests. The screw terminals are not approved for automotive usage. Automotive grade engineering and testing is expensive and probably cannot be done by 2 people working from a shed, but that is what you should aspect in this price point.

I think Alibaba and possible Ebay has something in your price range. Or even better try out the Warranty Lottery that is KINGS branded electrical products But it always surprises me that people complain at the cost of something when it is a Independent that is making/developing/selling it but are more then happy to pay inflated retail prices if it is from a Multinational billion dollar company that just re stickers something from China

@@user-cx2bk6pm2f I work in electronics manufacturing. I actually will. Reading data sheets is not complicated. I'm not even joking. I can get a pcb printed for about $50 solder a few high current terminals on and done. Otherwise just put a few inline fuses in on a nice panel, like everyone does. Just as easy. Honestly, it was a great idea. But at that cost it's not saving you time or money. There is no ROI here. Don't let me stop you buying one tho. Your money, free world.
@veneratedmortal43692 жыл бұрын
@@J-P88 call it constructive feedback. I would consider it if it was $150 because I see the ROI in that case. At the current price I'll get a sheet of wood or aluminium and drill those nice resettable fuses into it(everyoneuses them, go see any 4x4 build). His does not have resettable fuses so it would actually be better.

@@veneratedmortal4369 $150? Constructive feedback haha, more just like being a cheap skate that wants somethig for nothing. Maybe if it was built just for himself $150 is fine. If you want to make it yourself then do so. This is a business for $150 at current prices of things going through the roof he will struggle to make a profit let alone pay for all the R&D. People forget that to develop something good it actually takes Time and dosent just pop out of nowhere the price includes the time and expense to actually develop the product. Like when DVDs first hit the market they where 1k before they dropped to a more affordableprice. If it's so simple to make this then do it.
