Quick question: I save my game, it says it saved, I save it late, it says saved, I close out and shut off computer, load and it is the first save and I see it get rid of the 2nd save (said I owned a station then it didn't) why is this and is this a problem on my end?

I'm getting close to commissioning someone to make a mod to throw VIG in the dumpster while maintaining VRO compatibility. Their redonkulous fighter focus means they make up for like a quarter of the simulated ships in the damn universe (hyperbole...maybe?) just milling around their sectors harassing food traders.

Revisiting historic moments in the X-series through the X4 engine seems like a really cool idea, not to mention it brings a great opportunity to interactively teach new players what important events happened in the past. Also, does that mean we could get potentially get the original Xenon designs back (I have seen the Xenon M0, one of my absolute favourite designs in the entire series), potentially as a parallel faction group (akin to HOP and PAR) and allied to the existing Branch 9 Xenons? That'd be awesome!

#Cafe and #Deff (the two self-aware CPU-ships) should still be somewhere in interstellar void, while #Deca (untainted CPU (mostly) running on its original 22. century programming) should still be in Aldrin, which could also be a great place for the next DLC... Additionally, there could still be CPUs build by Winters somewhere out there... Also, if I understood X2:Nopileos correctly, the Xenon M0, was a deterant weapon build/controlled by #Deff and not by the Branc 9 / standard Xenon. So if the M0 isn't only there for replaying past events, it's existens is a indirect conformation, the self-aware CPUs will make a comeback.

@@scorpomorio2472 I can't remember which, but either #cafe or #deff were destroyed by Yoshiko in the events of the novel sharing her name. So only one of those survived, meanwhile the other one was virtualized in the Ancient Presence Cloud and no longer has a physical body so to speak.

@@Adam.godsonwe have to wait and see how we are going to access it, but it could be highly possible it is something akin the venture dock you build for ventures. This would also connect it directly to that in universe rewards, like you could a ship with participating in the first venture.

I think the X2 ships may be a little bit ... out there in terms of design. Certainly was an experimental phase with some rather awesome designs (Floppy Dolphin anyone?) But this trailer certainly gives me some hope when it comes to ship redesigns. The Xenon K and J versions from X BTF gives me hope that they move away from the Bug-In-Space design for the xenon and instead go the modular route of older designs (Like the X3 ones). Perhaps we will see a mix between X2 and X3 argon designs. And for the love of ... please let us move away from Teladi being space-Mushroom drivers and back to simple, cost efficient, no extra bells and wistles designs (Like the redesign of the Albatross)

My only question is: can these assets, mostly the ships but possibly some of the stations, be brought into our X4 Foundations sandbox game? I appreciate the addition of standalone introductions, mechanic tutorials, missions, and story modes Timelines seems to be hinting at. I think it will add positively to your game. Yet, my X4 sandbox is and will likely stay the primary way I engage with your game. I would love to see, say a blueprint reward from completing these missions (or another mechanic) which would bring those new and beautiful models into our sandbox. I'm also looking forward to many of your 7.0 features. New regions are always great, the new ships will be appreciated, and I very much look forward to your new end-game crisis. Though I very much respect that you gave an opt-out option to players. Thank you for continuing to build and provide a well rounded and robust experience. Separately, as just general feedback: can you please make it easier to access basic ship paints and skin rewards? For instance, I'd very much like just a plain white paint scheme ("Aldrin" for example). Do you know how difficult it is to currently unlock just plain white paint for a fleet? Why is such a basic color so difficult to achieve? Sure, please keep the crazy and special designs and highly patterned skins behind difficult rewards. But why not expand primary colors to be far more accessible?

I used to watch my dad play the first X game and casually do some task for him. It was mega fun to discover the universe and experience the story together. The xenon were always interesting. We drew and wrote down all the sectors and the stuff u can find there on paper. All the jump gates connections and more. It was a time before google did the job. A great memory. I just bought X4 because it was on discount and I want to experience the same thing I experienced back then with my dad. Now seeing this ''a blast from the past'' DLC gives me some chills. I hope the ship from X: Beyond Frontiers is playable. This would definitely make me mega happy and I'm sure my dad would have liked it too. EDIT: I rewatched it and it's playable. I'm hyped

Я познакомился со вселенной X много лет назад в игре X2: The Threat. С тех самый пор в памяти откладывались приятные воспоминания, о том как узнал что такое Сингулярный Уплотнитель Времени, о строительстве первой станции, прохождении и завихрениях сюжета. Полностью я погрузился в игру в X3: Reunion и с тех пор не пропускал ни единой игры, прошел полностью даже первую часть серии, а также прочитал книги по вселенной (Легенду Фарнема, Нопилей и Йошико). С какого-то момента у меня появился кредит доверия к компании Egosoft который никогда не угасает. Сейчас (и уже навсегда) я фанат серии, которая появилась в моей жизни когда я был подростком и с которой я вырос. Мне неважно куда завернет серия X или сама Egosoft, будут ли провалы, я всё равно буду стремиться иметь у себя полную коллекцию этих игр и буду их любить. Новое дополнение как мне кажется позволит не только посмотреть и поучаствовать в давних событиях и посмотреть на них со стороны, я считаю что оно даст то что серии необходимо - еще большую глубину, так как событий в этой игре происходило не просто много а ОЧЕНЬ много (на той же вики можно устать читать всё что происходило в этой вселенной), а мелочи чуть ли не главное в играх, ведь чем больше видишь мелочей, тем больше тебя это заинтересует. Уважаемые Egosoft, спасибо за то что вы делаете, вы прошли длинный путь в развитии этой вселенной, надеюсь что как минимум вы пройдете еще столько же! За музыку отдельное спасибо ибо она неподражаема!

The 7.0 changes look nice, but I'm skeptical on what amounts to just be a mission pack for a primarily sandbox game. I would have rather had more things added to the sandbox mode, but I'll wait and see how it plays out.

Yeah, so far I'm not sold either. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

At the very least hopefully they can improve the optimization of the game, because currently they are still not good imo
