Make sure the c clip on the transmission end is seated correctly on the counter shaft, because I noticed the case sat in a big amount as you tightened the bolts, it should sit flush before even tightening the bolts. If not seated correctly you will have some bearing issues and noises once running, even engagement issues.

Just a lil tip. Whenever you can clean from the top to the bottom because when you clean bottom to top the bottom is nice and clean and then you clear stuff above it and it falls/runs down into your nice already cleaned area. So if you clean the top stuff will just fall into the already dirty area so it don't matter :)

If you want to know if the transmission works take the linkage and attach it to the transmission and move the shifter linkage. To check that everything goes into gear right before you even get to test drive it.

Little hack to clean the engine... Use Diesel fuel and a paint brush then rise off with water hose 😁 super clean results.

I have that clutch currently I had it on my turbo D17 and held up really good sadly my block took a dump and snapped a rod cracked front and rear of block. But the clutch is amazing 🙏

Did you guys re-seat the snap ring on top of trans? It looks a fill plug, use a 1/2 ratchet to remove bolt and then check. That's what allows all the forks to engage and disengage. Also, those extra bolts are probably for half axle bracket that goes to the back of the block. Build is coming along fast dude! Can't wait to see it running. Hopefully lol

I am a Fedex driver and we are not strange. What you say didn’t hurt me but I’ll tell you why we do that.. the reason why is because driving all day and making stops frequently is a pain in the ass. We wanna get through our route and go home. The faster we get it done, the better and our money is worth it. Another thing we always say was up to every customer because that’s our route, we don’t go anywhere but that same route and we want our customers to get to know us and also for our own good. The thing under the throttle body is a fitv (fast idle thermostatic valve) if you have any seeking idle issues that could be a culprit. All you do is unscrew the cover and use a flat head to screw that piece down. Probably useless information lol

Kinda wish I bought an eg. I have an ek sedan d16 non vtec with an automatic tranny. Plan on doing a manual swap this summer then boosting it, vtec swap would make me even more wet. Wish I could drop in a b18 but since it’s ob2 and I live in Massachusetts I already know there going to be boners when I go to get it inspected and they plug their computer and the obd port doesn’t work because the hondata swap. So I’m stuck with the d16 and stock computer with a 90’s style tune. At least it only has 80k miles on it so she’s healthy.
