EGT sensor failure in flight!

Same thing happened to me today in my Flight Design CTLSi. Replaced #2 sensor last march, #3 failed today on a cross country. Very annoying and nerve racking.

I have an 09 Sting S3 with the 912 and from time to time get these sensor lights coming on. It can be stressful when it happens but every time it has been a bad sensor. My fuel pressure sender malfunctions a lot and always turns out to be nothing. I think Rotax engines do have this issue. That said, the engine itself has been reliable. The electronics........ not so much

FLY-4202 yeah it’s definitely got quirks. My lane a will go off if my coolant temp goes higher then the oil temp. But it’s within specs. Unfortunately this sensor issue is not the root cause, I’ll be showing it in an upcoming episode very soon.
