Love this! Saving to try out. It's strange how I was planning to make Banga stew and Egusi soup tomorrow and then KZbin suggests this to me today. I'll still make them separately, but I will combine in my plate and see 😄

To step this up a notch can I use banga spices or Ehuru and uziza seeds in the soup??
@ebychuks97972 жыл бұрын
Well, you'll likely loose the egusi taste.That would radically change the taste of the soup to your regular banga soup. What's she doing is common among Anambra people who use banga like this to make bitter leaf and oha/ora soup and yam pottage, but maintain the usual ingredients and spice of the soups, so that there's only a slight effect on the soup cos of the use of banas instead of just palm oil. Normally the banga/akwu makes the soup thicker, so you reduce whatever thickener you use.

You must be an Anambra woman!😀 Anambra people would use akwu/banga to cook yam pottage, bitter leaf soup, oha soup,what have you....even jollof rice!😄

Also the ejakika fish, is it readily available, if I use bitterleaf, do you also bring it down immediately
