Most dumbbells are little more than exact maybe 5kg is 5.1 or 5.2, you have to count the weight of the rope aswell making it around 5.4 or 5.5. BUT WHEN YOU LIFT THIS UP LIKE THAT, It's obviously going to show more, it like you moving around in a weigh machine, I never bought this, thinking of buying this tomorrow so I was curious and stumbled across this video

Hey. Interesting find. I have 3 of these and two are spot on and one is a bit defective yours (different defect). I have two that are near identical to camry dynos but had one that would read 75lbs when 90lbs of load was on it. They are a bit of a hit or miss. Some are on and some are defective it seems. Still a pretty good dyno when it's on!

It is possible that some are absolute perfect, but the one i have is showing some strange numbers. With a 32 kg weight it shows 37 or 43 kg.

Mine shows 200 gram difference, but I weighted all the weights before measuring it, because 5 kilos dumbbell can be actually 5.5 or 4.5. I weighted 40 kilos on my loading pin with the strap and the numbers were pretty precise. The total distance with the handles included is 44 mm if you measure with the caliper in the middle, so basically the same one as the closed gripper with the 19 mm handles because it stretches a bit on close. I have Japanese medical dyno Takei Digital coming my way and I will compare the numbers on two devices just for fun. Thanks for the review and showing that on some wide positions you can get an extra. It's an interesting observation.

Hello Gene Merry Christmas, the weight of the dumbell with the rope is 5124 grams meaured with food scale. Reall problem is that if u move or tilt the eh 108 in different way u can get even more then that. Also maybe my device is different then yours. And that is another problem.

@@dediu00ro I think that it measures right, it has a lot of friction in plastic components when it's new and 5 kilos is not enough to overcome it. We used some WD or silicon on the sides and in the middle to overcome it. The dyno needs adjustment, but hey it's dirt cheap compared to other stuff.

Once again, thanks for the review I will definitely compare and calibrate two other dynos one is FAA approved and the other Japanese medical dyno to the numbers of mine EH108. You brought some food for thought, I wish we had some feedback line to the manufacturer to improve the issues with the friction and quality of the EH108 and make it better straight from the package.

@@GenesGripChannel i have put silicone oil on the side and top. I still am happy with the product for 20 dolars its not possible to do so much maybe. The GM 150 costs how much? I think over 120 dolars?

@@dediu00ro The GM is a static dyno and it will always show way more than medical pull dynos like 10-15 kilos more, even if you calibrate both of them with the weight and they will show exact same numbers. There is way too much stuff to discuss in this topic and there are way too much to discover, grab at least few dynos, calibrate them properly with different weights on different positions, try getting max results on each of them. It's a whole universe. All I can say that the previous EH101 was on par with the Japanese medical Takei digital dyno, the new 108 dyno has some issues, that could be fixed easily and at least in my own case I've got 200 mg difference when I weighted 40 kilos with mine and compared it with the digital floor scales. I don't know why, but in the English part of the internet there are not much info about the dynos and what kind of numbers they show, I'm glad that you've started this research, but I think you need to do more than weighing 5 kilos that is 5124 grams before making the final opinion on a pretty good dyno for this money. BTW the Baseline hydraulic dyno shows more than pull dynos but not that much more than the static ones like GM. It's a great topic, I bet you will advance in it, kind of hard to do it on your own without a community, because you need to invest a lot of time and money into it, but definitely it gives an experience in the field for all of us. In my case I showed 98 on the EH108 and I bet that in a good shape I will get at least 96 with the Japanese medical dyno pretty soon, the delivery during the Christmas time is just getting too long. A huge disadvantage with the expensive Japanese dynos is that they measure only up to 100 and I think you are around at least 120))). Also we ordered another calibrated FAA approved dyno that can measure up to 120 (maybe even more, who knows?) and it will arrive to our community pretty soon. So it would be fun to compare numbers between all of them. I will definitely record a video for you comparing the numbers on both Japanese and Chinese dynos pretty soon, bro. I have a GM and I don't need it that much after getting the EH108, I wish you lived near by for me to send it cheaply back and forward like we do it here with the local logistics companies, sometimes I give away my stuff for months to friends.

I had 4 of them already (1 broke and 2 was given out as a present). All of them showed the correct numbers. There is a new model around of the EH108 in the black color and I'm waiting for it to be delivered soon. I have more than 25 dynos already even some from the early 30s and I can tell the numbers of the EH108 are pretty average in a good sense. They don't show less and don't show more. I think it's great to have something that cheap that will work great for everybody. I'm curious sometimes how much some guys can pull with the dynos, because it's kind hard to tell when someone deep sets or even uses leg sets to close something.

Which one is the best between them all? is the 101 better than the 108?
@GenesGripChannel
@GenesGripChannel 10 ай бұрын
@@TheMaximer16 EH101 is better but it has a limit of 90.7. The EH108 in the video is a faulty one, I had one that showed lower numbers and I returned it to the seller. Also the handle on the EH108 breaks with the time.

What is the most precise dyno that you have found so far?
@dediu00ro

For us there are no options because we can max out the medical ones. The gm 150 i never tried. The hydraulic ones also problematic if u shake or move them. And if u have money to buy 300-400 dolars one probably it is worth it because its calibrated to a standard.

С дополнительными весами мистика. если взялся под низ корпуса- одни показания, если в районе монитора- уже другие. короче говоря нечего его мучать. данные схожи с дк140, а это сертифицированный медицинский прибор

Maybe the device you have shows corect numbers, mine does not. As for the dk 140 i have no idea i think it will be better then this one but also more expensive.
